A Day At The Desert

I flapped my wings hard as the heat began to pour down on me. I landed on the ground and sniffed the air there was a small clan of dragons close by this was gonna be a fun day alright. I crept around it would pretty easy to see me and Shadow out here today, black and orange wasn't exactly blending in. "Hmm... Whatca think that a big enough group to surprise?" I asked him, hiding behind a large catus.

I came up biting my lip so I wouldn't laugh sinisterly. "Yeah, fine with me," I hissed happily. I looked to Craz. "Just a warning though. We will probably be seeing Ever today, if this goes right," I hissed, laughing a bit.

I grinned at his comment about Ever. "hmm... I dunno I just got back and she knows I have to unwind a bit" I said in a happy hiss. A thought hit me, "I just have one rule for today, no one dies if they are bonded to another" I said glancing at Shadow. Since Ever bonded us I had a new respect for bonded dragons.

I smiled at Craz, but not evilly this time. It was like a smile of respect for her. "I agree. Noone dies if they are bonded to another," I said repeating what she said. I knew she didn't only meean us, but I really did agree with her. Besides, we know what it feels like to loose your mate. Horrible.

I grinned and nodded. "Let's have some fun" I said ready to pounce.

I crouched down in the hunter position and nodded to her. I crept around, low to the ground, and pounced on one female dragon. She hissed at me, until she saw me. I laughed at the fear in here eyes, but a male pounced on me. I shook him off. "No! Take me!" He pleaded. I hissed and swept him and the female to the side remembering my deal with Craz, and they left before I could blink.

I crouched down and pounced on a unspecting male dragon. There was no smell of a female on him so I was gonna have some fun with him. I tossed him before grabbing ahold of him again and slamming him into a tree.

I saw the two Darkness Dragons creeping into the clan. As the female got ready to kill the young male dragon I spoke up. "Let him go!" I growled whipping my extra long tail, it cracked like a whip, sending a loud cracking sound threw the air as if cutting it.

I hissed and whipped my head around. "What's it to ya?" I hissed at the dragon who told Cra to let the male go.

I snarled at the dargon who told me to let the weakling go."Why should I listen to you? Why do you care?" I hissed at her.

I cracked my tail again. It made a sound of bones breacking, I crept down from my hill. I am bigger then most Dust Dragons cause I am half Darkness Dragon. I am a golden brown color, my eyes are white like a Darkness Dargon. "I care casue I run this clan and you don't want to cross me Darkness Dragons" I snarled at them. "Now let him go" I growled, I had bite as posionuss as a Darkness Dragons bite. I flicked my tail and sand started to blow around lightly without any wind. It was my warning that I would balst them with a full on sand storm.

I tensed up at the dragon. I had heard of the leader of the dust dragons. "Craz, please let him go. She's half darkness dragion, she can kill us just as quick as we can kill these weaklings," I said to Craz. I knew Craz would attack if she had to,and that would just start a fight, and the leader had already hit my weak spot. I snarled at myself, I hated loving things, but I loved Craz. My heart was my weak spot.

I growled at the female dragon and showed my teeth. I slid back and let the little dragon go. I snarled at the dragon with eyes of slits. "How dare you order me to do anything" I hissed at her.

I growled and watched the dragon run away as Craz let him up. My shined as bright as white as the Darkness Dragons, "I am Stardust. My father used to be leader of the Darkness Dragons, and my mother is Ice Blaze the leader of the Ice Dragons, but I was born to control the desert." I snarled at them. "You wouldn't be the leader if my father was still alive" I snarled at Shadow. I whipped my tail making a bone breaking sound.

I felt fear well up in me. This dragon was the dragon I killeds daughter and if she found out it was me and my siblings she would kill me on the spot without a second thought. "Sha... Shadow let's go." I stammered backing up slightly.

(decided to make Stardust the old leaders daughter thought it would make it a little bit interesting)

I knew Craz had killed the leader, Stardust's father. I bowed in respect for Stardust. "I'm sorry," I lied to her. I turned my attention to Craz and nodded in agreement. I nudged her. "Yes, we should go. I'm sorry we intruded," I lied the last part, and I had to bit e my toungue to keep from bursting out laughing at myself.

I almost growled for Shadow to hurry up but I kept my mouth shut.

I lowered my head looking at the one known as Shadow. I knew my father had killed his two brothers and he had gotten away, but I knew he wasn't the one who had killed my father. I sniffed the air looking for scent that came only when the blood of a leader is spilled on you, I smelled it all over Shadow but it smelled like Craz not my father. Just as I was getting ready to leave I smelled something on Craz under Shadows blood it was an old smell, but a leaders scent, it was my fathers scent. I looked to Shadow with rage in my eyes. "Oh stop lying threw your teeth Darkness Dragon," I snarled, the only reason I knew he was lying was because he was a Darkness Dragon not one word of truth comes out of their mouths. "Get out of here and if I ever so much as hear of anyone from your clan coming her when their not working, I will kill them without a second thought," I paused and thought "or better yet I will kill them without thinking in the first place, and I will start with Craz" I said to Shadow cracking my tail again. I closed my eyes and sent a sharp stone hurling towards Craz...

I hissed at the leader ignoring craz, and my eyes widened with worry and rage when she sent the stone hurtling. I snapped my fangs so loudly it echoed, and ran towards Craz, I pushed her out of the way just in time, but on the way the stone went into my leg. I yowled with pain, my eyes turning red with rage at the same time. "You little....." I hissed not saying the rest of what I was saying, it would only get me in even more trouble. It was hard for me to get up, but we had to get out of here, and I had to get Craz out of here. I looked to Craz and I knew it showed in my eyes that I desperately wanted her to get out of here. She would get more injured than me if she stayed. She had to go.

I snarled at Stardust. I looked to Shadow with worry in my eyes. I would not be known as a coward though and turned to Stardust. I saw the rage in her eyes the rage turned our eyes red turned hers deep blue like a Ice Dragons eyes. I crept a little closer to Shadow. I lowered my head to his. I took a deep breath, "I won't leave you again" I said to him shacking my head.

I hissed at them. "Danm dragon! Since when did Darkness Dragons be noble?" I asked them. I watched Craz and sighed "well this is all very touching but I think I will be on my way before I throw up" I hissed darting off after my clan. I stopped and looked back to them, "Just watch your backs your next on my list" I hissed at them. I brought up a sand strom it was a good mile off but it would be here soon enough. "Oh and you better be careful sand stroms on the way" I hissed and rushed off.

I spat out in anger at Stardust. "No darkness dragon is allowed in these lands. Not because of Stardust, because I say so," I said to Craz. "Not even at night. Let the thieves and villains come here to haunt the dust dragons," I spat angrily. I limped up to my feet. "We have to try and get out of here, i've grown a new hatred of sand," I said hissing, my eyes still glowing red with anger. I sighed, my anger ebbing away a little, and nudged Craz slightly. "Thanks," I hissed, my red eyes were beginning to grow lighter, but that anger and hatred aimed at Stardust was still there. It always will be now.

I nodded at Shadow. "Let's get out of here," I said looking around and staying next to Shadow. There was no way I would ever leave him by himself when he is hurt. "Come on let's get back to the forest." I said to him nudging him slightly back.

I limped a step forward. There was no way I was going to walk. I shook my wings out and stretched them as far and wide as I can, getting them ready for all the weight they would have to carry. "If we fly fast my wings can probably hold me up," I said flying a little into the sky.

I nodded to him and jumped into the sky with him. I had an idea for when we got back to the forest. He needed to get that spear head out of his shoulder and I knew just who could get it out. "You need that thing out of your shoulder and I know who can get it out" I said to him. The clan leader of the forest dragons could turn it to rock and pull it out his shoulder, it would hurt like heck but at least it would be out.

I looked gratefully to Craz. "Thanks," I said to craz. I knew it would probably hurt, but atleast it would heal faster.

I nodded and looked around I could see the strom now. "Come on we have to move and now!" I said looking back to Shadow.

I started flying as fast as I could, wich was surprisingly kind of fast. I nudged into Craz making her fly faster.

I growled when Shadow nudged me, not out of anger out of habit. I sucked my wings in and darted forward.

I just ignored Craz and darted after her, not stepping to rest and wincing at the pain until we reached the forest. I stopped and practically dropped to the ground out of pain and exhaustion.

I landed next to Shadow. I snifed his blood. "Damn" I mumbled under my breath, 'this not good, I need to find Vidalia and fast' I thought to myself. "Shadow I need to find Vidalia, you need to rest and stop moving. If you hold still the poison will spread slower" I said to him and waited to see what he was gonn say.

I stopped moving and sat there grumpily. "Fine..." I hissed. IT hurt like hell, but I still was antsy and restless. But she was right. I had to stay still and calm down.

I growled at Shadow and rolled my eyes. "Well I guees better grumpy then dead" I muttered under my breath. "I will be back as soon as I can" I said to him, I turned and jumped into a fast run.
I was heading towards Vidalia's den I knew she would be there. I slid to a stop right in front of her.

I jerked back and sat on my hounchs. "Oh what do we have here a Darkness Dragon running from some one?" I asked in a coniving voice. I was not scard of Darkness Dragons, sure they held power over me but I was blessed new powers by the queen. So they wouldn't even think about killing me.

I growled at her. "I wasn't running away I was running for help" I said calmly. "I need your help, Shadow needs your help" I plaeded and there was fear in my eyes. I was afriad she would say no.

I nodded to what she was saying. "Okay where is he?" I asked her.
"About Three miles that way" She said pointing to where she had come from. I nodded, "get back as soon as you can" I said darting that way I would be there within' few minutes, having Speeder blood in me helped me get around this forest pretty quickly. I soon found the waiting dragon.
