Apollo

I ran to the meadow my side heaving, I am covered in sweat, I drop my head to the ground no one else was here, and I let the single tear fall form my eye, 'why did she have to go' I think raising my head to clear night sky, the stars sparkling like the ones in my mane, I stare at the stars hopping for a message from Star her self, she left me so quickly I didn't have time to say goodbye, I thought back to the last time I saw her run, her blue black body shining in the sunlight no was as fast as her, her bright green eyes shining like emeralds, her gold horse shining like the sun, and then I heard a voice, "Apollo you must for get about me, there is a new mare coming she will give you the sun you were meant to have," and then I jerk my head up it was Star she was telling me to find a new mate, "but I love you, I do not want to take another mate," I say to the stars, "yes I know but I have died and gone to the stars now, and you will love this mare more then me, she give a brilliant son, and he will be the best king to ever run the Unicorns," Star told him "and I will always love you Apollo but for now my love, you must love another, goodbye forever my love" and then the voice was gone, I layed in the grass thinking of everything she said, and then I sent one last message to her threw thought 'Star my beauty I will never love another as much as I love you, but I will love again as you wish me too' and then I just stare at the stars waiting.

I walked silently through the night, hoping that it would be a quiet night. I walked silently, not even cracking a twig or leaf. As I approached a meadow I had never seen before, I heard something... Like someone was crying. I stepped into the meadow and saw the source of the noise. And he was crying. It was a stallion unicorn, and he was lying on the grass, staring at the stars. I approached shyly, failing misserably at trying to be confident. "H-hello?" I stuttered saying it and it sounded more like a question. There was something about this unicorn, even as he was crying, that was strong and powerful. Something that made Misty curious. She wanted to learn about this unicorn, to know why he was crying, to try and help him.

I jerked to my feet and snort, and whipped around my star filled mane and tail flowed around me in the wind that I am making and then I see a Unicorn mare standing there and then the wind dies and my hair dropped to the ground my bright blue horn goes back to dark blue, "hello I am Apollo" I say "what is your name mare?" I ask and then gestur for her to walk with me, and then I fill a strang pull to her, 'could this be the mare Star was talking about?' I thought, and then I saw her body glowing even brighter then Star's ever did, with the Kings they saw mares glow to the point of how well a king they will bare and he had never seen a mare glow this brightly before, she was a bright light that I couldn't take my eyes offen.

(I have an idea so make sure she doesn't know he is the king XD)

I stepped forward, hesitating to go with him at first, and then I followed. "Well, i'm Misty," she said walking with the stallion. There was still something strange about him, and the way he looked. She didnt quite know what it is, but she didnt really care. She liked the mystery of him. I was more calm now that he had talked so calmly to me. I tried to relax when I noticed I was tensed up. I was relaxed now, but who knew how long I would stay calm. I knew it was gonna be a long night, but it would probably be a good night too.

(haha, okay. I was gonna make her not know anyways C:)

I looked back at her “Misty way are you without a herd?” I asked stopping by the lake and
looking at her, and as clouds started to block the sky I turned towards the sky, “be gone” I say and the clouds disappear, and then I look into the water, “have you ever been this way before?” I ask tilting my head and look her in eyes I knew she had never been here before, I touch water with my horn and a moving picture only I could see showed up, it was of the future I saw her running threw a field with a foal with her he was big like me, but graceful like her, as she jumped a log he whipped his head a pare of wings spread from his body, I stare ‘could it be true? Will my son be such a good king that he will be blessed with wings?’ I think and then I turn to Misty a slight tear in my eye, I look at her with pride.

I followed him to the lake. "Yes," I said. "I have no herd." I looked up at the sky kind of impressed when he made my clouds and rain dissappear. I looked around at where we were. The unfamiliar place was actually kind of pretty. "No, I havent." I looked around more and into the forest, the lake, everything. It all belonged together, it made the place whole. While Apollo stared into the water, I just looked around. Then I could feel Apollo looking at me. "What?" I ask shifting uncomfortably. He knew something she didnt, and though Misty has secrets of her own, she wanted to know what it was.

I listened to her talk, and then when she asked me what I was looking at I brook out of the haze I was in, and I snort, 'not just yet I must make sure' "nothing I just never seen a mare like you before," I say, she wouldn't know what I was talking about she must have came from the appalosa Unicorns, and then I stare at the water, and then step back and look her in the eyes, I see a beautiful mare running threw a field like she was born to run mist running around her making her invisable, I was looking at her soul, with the Unicorns they couls only find a mate if both could see each others souls, "what do you see when you look in my eyes?" I ask, my dark blue eyes twickling like the stars above use.

I sighed, pretending I knew what he meant by "different". Even though I would pretend, I had no clue what he meant. Was it good? Bad? I really didnt know but oh well. Maybe he has never seen an appaloosa unicorn? I stopped thinking about it and looked into the water. Then he asked me what I saw when I looked at him. FOr the first time having enough confidence to really look at him, I looked up into his eyes. When I saw what I saw, I cocked my head. "I'm not really sure," I said looking closer. I have never seen it in any other unicorn. It was almost as if... No it couldnt be... But what if? "his soul..." I mumbled hoping he didnt hear ne. THen, speaking louder, I said, "I dont really know. I've never seen it before in another unicorn. I really don't know, but thats okay. I guess its a good thing." I happily snorted, realizing that it really was a good thing. He was different, But I do really like that.

I snorted and whipped my head, "yes different your specile" I say nodding my head, and then I rest my eyes on hers "really I'll tell you what I see in your eyes, I see a beautiful mare running threw a field, she has mist all around her, making her invisable in the mist" I say looking to the stars and then back again "what do you know of the Unicron King?" I ask and look into the water again, and then I allow mist to creap in around use, it raising on the top of the water sparkling like silver dust.

I snorted in pleasure. "Thats good. Actually I was worried I was a bad different," I looked at him now, while he was looking into my eyes. Something about him was nice and calm, strong and powerful. "The unicorn king?" I asked. I thought about all I knew about him. "hmmm... Well I know he is strong, he can do pretty much anything with his powers, and.... he can teach his queens stuff to help them defend themselves. Thats all I know. Ive never really heard much about the unicorn king," I said, making sure that was all I knew. It was. I noticed I hadn't stopped looking into his eyes and looked down again.

I snort out of humur "no I don't there is such a thing as a bad different with Unicorns" I say giving a ligt laugh, and then listing to what she says next I nod, and then start to walk along the misty path along the river side, "well that is true, but the king can see his queen glow and the brighter the glow the stronger king she will have, she will only have one child in her life and this will always be a son, he will be the next king and when he is ready to take the thron his father will die, and his mother will live with him until she pass's away," I say, she needed to know everything about a king, if she were to become my queen.

I listened to Apollo talk about the king and nodded when he was done. I took in every word wanting to know what he had to say. "Oh. I didnt know that. That's acctually kind of cool," I said after he finished. I thought a moment and then almost asked him saomething. "Hey why were- er.... nevermind," I almost asked him why he was sad, but decided not to. I didn't want to remind him of whatever it was, and make him sad all over again. It had to be pretty bad anyway, if it made him cry.

I nod and snort happy at the way she replied, "well it is vert tracice when the queen dies before leaving an hair," I say in a low tone "if that happens the king must find a new queen and this is not wasy for them, you see they can only take a queen who is their soul mate," I say lowering my head, and twich my ears at what she says next, "why was I crying eairler?" I ask a little amused at the fact that almost all my saddness was gone now, "its OK if that's what you wanted to ask and I will tell you if you really want to know" I say, stopping and looking over the lake again and then a wind russled threw my hair, it was a gentle breeze that was not creaited by a Unicron just a breeze.

I stopped. "Oh. That's gotta be hard... I mean, dont you only have one soul mate? Thats what I always though..." I felt like a child again asking all these questions and not knowing the answer to a single one. "Errr... yeah. Thats what I was gonna ask. You don;t really have to tell me if you dont want to. Im just being nosy. If it will make you sad again then just don't tell me," I said not wanting him to be sad again. I wanted to make him happy, not make him more sad. My mane and tail picked up and swirled around me as the breeze picked up. I lifted her head and looked towards the lake too. The blue green color of the water was getting picked up and swirled in the wind. I was happy, I liked the wind. And the rain. and clouds. And well, anything misty. I couldnt help then but to lift my horn and make it stronger. For a split second my horn glowed light blue, and the wind picked up. I quickly lowered my horn though, and stopped the wind. "sorry," I snorted a little nervously. I sighed and lowered my head, reminding myself how noone but me really liked the mist and stuff.

I snort "well yeah they do but when the queen the dies, a new soul mate will apear for the king but only if he really wants to find a new soul mate," I said and then stop and lower my head to the water taking a long drink, and then making a slow mist fall from the sky, "I was sad before cause this Kings wife has died without leaving an heir" I say it flate out she had to know the truth.

I make a small snort. " Okay. So... It's kind of like... When the queen dies, a new soul mate is appointed and the king gas to find her, I guess?" I ask trying to make sense of it all. I listen whe he told me what was wrong. I didn't talk until he was done. "Oh... kay. So I can see how that can be sad. Did you know them well?" I ask sadly, sniffling a bit. That really would be sad. A king works so hard, finding that one unicorn, and then before they can have a son, she dies. He climbed so far, just to end up at the bottom again. It really was sad, and he must be very sad as I stand here with Apollo.

I take a deep breath and drop my head, "well I guess youd say that" I say and then at the next statment she made, I sigh and shack my head, she didn't understand what I was saying, I was trying to tell her I was the king, "well yeah she was my queen, my kings wife, she was my world, my love, and my the one I thought would bare my heir" I say looking into the sky, to see the Stars dance, "thats her she is making them dance" I say watching as the stars form two horses running across the sky.

I sighed and dropped my head not wanting to look him in the eye. "Oh." is all I can say. Now I understand. Why he cried, why he told me all this, why he was so powerful, why he looked the way he did. He was the king. Tears formed in my eyes, but I fought them, feeling them like a thousand needles pricking behind my eyes. I looked at the sky and watched the stars. It was like a light show almost, the horses dancing. I had a thought they meant something more than just entertaining us. I finally looked back at Apollo. "I'm... sorry..." I whisper just loud enough for him to hear. I know it probably didn;t mean much, but it was all I could say. There was nothing I could say to ever fix it. No matter how hard I tried I could never make him happy. I now knew that, but I still wanted to do something for him.

I snorted, "it doesn't bother me anymore yeah I loved her, but she spoke to me tonight, she told me that I would find another and I would love her more then anything on earth, and I didn't believe her but now after meeting you I have to day she was right," I say nudging her shoulder "she is the one making the stars dance" I say looking at them and then all the sudden the smaller horse fades and is replaced by a horse pure white with stars she runs with the other one while the first small horse watchs from above, "you see she is telling me my true queen has been found" I say looking into her eyes, "you glow brither then I have ever seen a mare glow that means you will have a king that will be so wise and brave and kind that that there will never another king greater then him.

I looked up at him again, finally my usual confidence coming back to me. "Wish I could know what she meant. Or knew anything about the kin- er.. you. Then I would know you were the king," I say looking into his eyes. I knew something was special about him all along. And I knew I loved hi already. "Thank you..." I say once he was done talking. She nickered softly and nudged him back. "Well i am honored I can be your new queen," I say to him. I look to the stars and say in my head to the past queen, "I really am." I look into Apollo's eyes and knew he really did mean it.

I look to the sky and smile, "you do well the big horse made out of stars that's me and the one who faded was Star the star queen" he said lauhging all unicorns names went with what they controled except for the king he was to always be named Apollo, "and the white star horse is you," and I whipped my head, "every one of the Unicorns alive will see it and be drawn to see it, and they will know its the dance of the stars it only happens when a queen is found" I say and then I lift my head to the sky, my horn turns bright blue, and the stars in my mane and tail dance, and then I hear all the Unicorns in my kingdom neigh and when the echos deid I reared and neighed as loud as I could, and when I drop to the ground, "tomorrow you will become the queen, you have to go threw the kings wife ceramony, it will be unplesent for you, and you will be have no magic to help, you be as helpless as a normal horse, but all this is nessarey to make sure you will not back out" I say wanting her to know everything, "and you will have your voice taken away." I say starting to canter towards the Tree Dome.

I look at the sky and watched. I snorted and whipped my mane, hearing the other unicorns. I listened while he told me what was to happen. I ran after him. "What do I have to do?" I ask, not really caring if I will have my powers and voice tooken away. I thought of all the possibilities, but then again, it could be anything at all. I knew it wouldn't be pleasant for me either way, I don't like big crowds, but oh well. I wanted to be his queen, and I would do anything to prove it. If he didn't tell me what I had to do, then oh well. I was prepared for anything.

I whipped my head making a mist so heavy no one could see threw even if they tried their hardeist, "you don't do anything, you just follow the gards around, but don't let anyone drag you, it will help and you will find the cermony huimating, and awful but it is for the best," I say galloping now, "you will also be shackled both fisaclly and mentaly" I say, "but once you in the tree dome there is no backing out, even if you want to you will be forced to go threw the cermony," I say like it is nothing, Star refused to go threw the cermony and was forced threw the whole thing, "and you might even find some parts scary, but keep reminding your self you a greeded to it and try to keep your pride up, it will help" I say stopping at the Tree Dome, "and one more thing you will not be a loud out of the Tree Dome until a year after you are queen do you understand this?" I ask.

I listened to them and nodded my head firmly. "I understand. I wil keep my pride up no matter what. You just met me. You don't know how far I can go when it comes to corage and pride," she smiled a sceond then it quickly faded. "Then again, I also don't know how harsh it will be..." I say my voice trailing off. I thought of huge, musceled unicorn guards dragging me around. I already knew the first thing I would do. I would stab them with my horn. It was always my first instinct. Hopefully that first instinct won't get me in more trouble, like it usually does.

I titlted my head "no stabing anybody, it will rais gassip for years, and you won't be able to do anyway but just don't try," I say "are you ready to entire your home for the next year?" I flicking my horn towards the huge trees standing before use.

I snorted, wondering how he knew what I was worrying about. "he. I knew I had a problem with that. I will try not to. Its always my first reaction," I explained, although he probably knew that too. I sighed and looked at the world behind me, wondering if it would be the same, or even there, when I was allowed back. I wondered if the other unicorns would accept me as the queen of them, if they would like me, if I would be a good queen. I sighed, knowing I would have to face the inevitable at some point in time. "I'm ready," I said gathering up all my courage and pride I had. I lifted my head high and faced forward into the trees. I waited for him, wanting to let him go first, not me.

I nod "another little thing about me not the kings me is that I can read behaiver, not read minds" I say looking her in the eyes and then raising my head to the trees my horn glows bright blue thne my eyes shine like bright blue rocks, the stars in my hair dance around me, and then I touch the tree with my horn, it opens into a beautiful kingdom, there are normal sized trees and flowers and bright green grass, there are globs of silver moons floating around everywhere, "it is never day here, there are no stars, and it will a year in here before you can ever leave," I say looking around, this kingdom was a big bowel the trees around use were mostly an alusion this place was huge, there were rivers, creeks and lakes here, and in the middle was a big palace of a sort, "in the middle of that is where the ceremony will take place, and down below that you will be kept and prepered for it," I say nudging her and then walking "during the ceremony no is a loud to talk to you and as you knwo you will not have your voice, and during everything I will be distent and seem mean and uncaring but remember I am not." I say moving towars the middle of the huge bowel.
