Meeting, Workout and Test (Inside Wolford)

Lucas walked into the building as soon as he was in Rafe came over to him Lindsey locked into his side. They fit together like two perfect puzzle peaces. Kinda the way Kaari did to Lucas's side. Like they were carved for each other. "Rafe gather the rest of the Dark Gaurdians in the meeting room. I assume Lindsey has already tooken the oath and is a Dark Guardian?" He asked and Rafe nodded. "And did Brittney take it yet?" He asked them and Lindsey shook her head. "NO she just got back last night." She said. Lucas nodded, "I'm glad she's okay we were all worried about her." He said. Lindsey looked to Kaari and gave her a quick hug. "So happy your back." She said with a smile, then she turned and gave Lucas hug. "I'm so sorry about devline," she said to him before returning to Rafe's side. He leaned down and kissed her. "I'll be back." He said walking off to get Conner and the rest of the Dark Guardians. Lindsey looked at Kaari, "come on let's go change." She walking to the stairs and waiting for Kaari. Lucas nodded, "go on I'll meet you guys in the meeting room." He said to Lindsey and Kaari. He kissed Kaari real quick before walking off as well.

Kaari smiled as soon as she walked into the building with Lucas. Her smile grew wider as Lindsey came and gave her a hug. She laughed lightly. "missed you too." Kaari nodded and walked a few steps before looking back to Lucas, as if for permission almost. When Lucas nodded she smiled, and the color of her face tinged slightly pink when Lucas kissed her on the head. Kaari shrugged it off and followed Lindsey up the stairs. "Do you know where Brittany is?" Kaari asked glancing at Lindsey, her head slightly cocked to the side. Kaari had been worried about Brittany, but she somehow knew Britt would be fine.

Lindsey smiled and trotted up the stairs. "Isn't amazing! I can smell everything now! Like food I can smell each ingretent its amazing." Lindsey said to Kaari happily. The first shift had been something she had waited for and prebering for her whole life she couldn't wait. She looked to Kaari. "In our room, she's been weird ever since she got back I mean she keeps avoiding anything to do with shifting and stuff like that. But at least shes not snapping at me anymore probably cause I'm not with Conner." She said rolling her eyes a little. She opened the door to hers, Karri's and Britt's room. "Kaari! Your back!" Britt said happily hugging Karri. Lindsey smiled, "Britt meeting in a little while Rafe will get us when everyone else is there. Today you and Kaari take the oath to be Dark Guardians." She said proudly. Britt smiled she had never wanted anything more then to be a Dark Guardian. "Can't wait." She said happily.

Lucas caught up with Rafe and grabbed his arm so he was facing him. "I need to talk to you and Conner alone." He said in a low voice with so many super hearing werewolves around it was hard to keep anything a secret. "I'm gonna make three teams to go out and look for certain things. You of course are the tema leader of team two and Conner of Team three. I'll lead to the first one with Kaari as my second in command." Lucas explianed. Rafe nodded, "okay I'll take Lindsey as mine." He said nodding his head. Lucas looked to Conner. "Since you don't have a mate then you will have to chose some one who is capible of holding their own and watching your back. I sujest you test Britney most likley she'll be in the gym later test her in combat there." Lucas said and then added. "But don't let her know your testing her, the last thing we need is Britney losing her temper." Lucas said to them and Rafe took off to get the rest of the guardians together for the meeting about the traps.

(Make it so Conner doesn't think Britney will do good in wrestling him so he will be surprised)

Kaari smiled and nodded, but her smile faded when Lindsey talked about Britney. She thought for a moment. Britney was acting really strange and short-tempered ever since she found out Lindsey was going to her shift with Conner. How was she acting now? Kaari smiledand hugged Britney back. Kaari glanced at Lindsey. Was she just tricking Kaari, or was it just because Britney wasn't even thinking of anything to do with shifting right now? Kaari decided not to test it. "Yeah, it was so fun! Er, some of it," Kaari said witha meek smile.

Conner nodded to Lucas. He listened, looking around every now and then for eavesdroppers. He nodded again with a small hint of a smile. For one thing, he got to be with Britney for right now. For another, he got to wrestle her. ' This should be easy, ," He thought happily. He was ready for an easy match, he was pretty positive he would win.

Lindsey smiled and lightly laughed at Kaari's answer. "God I thought I was going to die. But totally worth it if you catch my drift." She said with a wink and a devise smile. She licked her lips, "can't wait till the next time we take campers out." She said licking her lips again. "Doesn't it totally suck that we can't even stay in the same room as our mates?" She asked Kaari. "ugh its so primivtive calling each other mates." Brittney said distastfully. Linsey snorted, "your just saying that cause you don't have one." She said not being mean at all. Britt rolled her eyes, "whatever you know what I mean." She said raising her eyebrows. Lindsey rolled her eyes. "Just get dressed Britt! So we won't be late for the meeting." She mock whined at her. Britt got dressed and right when she was done they heard a knock on the door. "Coming babe." Lindsey said to the door. Britt felt a pang of jealusey that Kaari and Lindsey could smell who was at the door and she couldn't. 'At least the young Shifters can't smell a lie.' She thought, mostly only the older ones could smell your skin change when you were lying. As soon as Lindsey was out of the room Rafe was kissing her and Britt cleared her throat. "Excuse me? Isn't there a meeting?" She asked sarcasticlly. Lindsey blushed and Britt thought she saw a little blush on Rafe. Rafe and Lindsey walked down the stairs practly glued together at the hip. Brit leaned her head towards Kaari. "Their cute aren't they?" She she asked with a smirk. She would talk about anything as long as she didn't have to lie.

Lucas noticed the look on Conner's face he wasn't their alpha for nothing. "I think she'll hold her own." Lucas said with one of his seldom smiles before walking off to the meeting room. Shortly after he got there everyone arrived. Kaari's seat was next to his, Lindsey next to Rafe and three open seats for the next three shifters that were gonna become guardians next full moon. Brittney's seat was next to Conner's seat.

(Let's just say that they already did the thing where they take to oath cause the meeting as more to do with my plan )

Kaari rolled her eyes at Lindsey and Britney. She quiclky changed right befor Lindset did and smiled when she could smell Rafe. Kaari looked to Britney and cocked her head. " I guess," Kaari replied with a shrug. Kaari felt bad for Conner and Britney, but was happy for Lindsey and Rafe. And of corse Lucas and herself. Kaari smiled and turned to Britney. "I'm gonna go downstairs for the meeting, wanna come with me?" She asked with a smile.

Brittney cocked her head to the side a bit. "Well duh I am. Its kinda required." She said with a laugh to show Kaari she was just joking. "Come one let's go!" She said linking her arm with Kaari's as they walked down the stairs and into the meeting room. The three elders sat at the end of the table, Lucas waited at the other for Kaari. The elders rose and looked to Brittney and Kaari. "Good to have you back and happy you are both okay." Elder Wilde said, he was Lucas's grandfather and had once been the leader of Dark Guardians like Lucas's father and Luas. When everyone was seated Lucas raised his voice. "We have a very sersuse matter on our hands now. There are traps being layed around for us! Conner what did you find when you went out last night?" He asked him.

Kaari growled. "Well, I meant, like, with me. Now," Kaari tryed to explain but shook her mind. "Nevermind..." she groaned following Britney.Kaari stopped when Elder Wilde spoke to them. She smiled at him and nodded her head. She walked over to the other table and sat next to Lucas. Kaari looked to Conner.

Conner spoke up when Lucas talked to him. "Well, I only found one metal trap. They are well scattered, I know there are others," he said taking a break to think for a moment. "It triggered really easily, and very quickly. We should warn the shifter's who can't really shift yet. It will be very hard for them to dodge one once it is set off. All I had to do was put a stick in the middle of the trap, and even when it wasn't in all the way the trap snapped close and broke off most of the stick in a millisecond," Conner said seriously to the rest of the group.

Brittney rolled her eyes. "I now what you meant." She said before taking her seat to wait for the meeting to start. She listened to them talk and after Lucas was finished with Conner he turned to her. She stood and spoke clear. "On my way back here, I found proof of a camp to high to be campers and there were no tracks except some drag marks on the side of the bank proof of a boat being used. And in the bushes near there I found a snare in that released into a tree. The perfect size for a wolf." She said without the slightest shake in her voice. Lucas nodded and she sat down. "I believe the traps that Conner described as being perfect for a wolf and then snares. Rafe what have you gathered?" He asked. Rafe stood. "As you all know there has been a few sources that say that there is a lab right outside the national forest but still deep in the forest all we have been able to find out is that it is west of here." Rafe said before sitting. "I have selected three teams. Rafe's team will find the traps. Conner's will see if they can find the lab and report back her. I will keep the rest here and protect here." Lucas said looking over the others. "The team leaders will post tomorrow who they have chosen for their team. And that concludes the meeting." He said and everyone left the meeting room to do their own thing.

Britt left the room, she didn't want to be picked for Conner's or Rafe's team cause they would be traveling in wolf form. Something she could not do. 'Oh well I'll figure something out if I get picked for one of those teams.' She thought to herself as she bounced down the stairs to the basement of the Wolford that had been turned into a gym.

Kaari. Gave a small half-smile to Britt, but didn't say anything.She listened to everyone else and thought for a moment. She had been so close to getting her leg cut off! Lucky for her the traps were a bit too slow.

Conner saw Britt leave and went out quietly behind her. He found her in the gym and came up behind her. "You should be on my team," he said casually with a small grin and a shrug.

Britt froze when she heard Conner behind her. He startled her but she didn't show it, 'why are shifters so dang quiet?' She thought to herself with some annoyance. She couldn't think of a good remark to him so she chose to ignore him instead. She walked over to dumb bells and started working her arms until she was sweating slightly. She kept ignoring Conner as if he wasn't watching her, it was really hard not to look at him but just concentrated on the weights. After her arms hurt slightly she moved onto the bar that was made to use for chine ups. She worked on that until her arms ached. She dropped to the ground in front of the wrestling mats. She scanned the room but couldn't find him anywhere.

Conner gave a C**k smile, but he was also a bit confused. He watched her and even though she couldn't see it, he gave a fake yawn. He saw Britt walk to the wrestling matts. He walked over with a smirk on his face. "Well, i'm bored. Since there is noone better here, I guess I have to wrestle you," he said to Britt with a wide smile and a shrug.

Britt felt a smirk playing at her lips. She crossed her arms over her chest and raised her eyebrows at him. "Excuse me." She said smirking and shacking her head. She walked past him and stopped when her shoulder was next to his. "Wouldn't hurt your ego to get beat by girl?" She asked patting him on the shoulder before walking around so she was facing him. Her head tilted to the side with a smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

(bored have him do a surprise body slam to her or something cause I have no way her to start this)

Conner smiled at her going along. He shook his head and smirked. "Nah, i'm too good for that," he said. He thought for a moment. He shrugged and di a fake yawn, slowly walking away. "You know what, you won't be any fun to fight," he said walking a few more steps. He didn't even stop or glance back when he flipped around and ran towards Britt. He grabbed her by the arms coming to an abrupt stop in front of her. He flipped her over his shoulders and she landed on the mat behind him. Conner turned around and smiled, looking down at her. He offered her his hand. "How was that for me loosing to ya?" he asked smirking down at her.

Britt didn't have time to react before she was on the ground. Her first thought was to get to run but the part of her that had always wanted to become a shifter told her to get the upper hand. She growled to low for him to hear. She was surprised that it wasn't a human growl but a wolf's growl. She smirked swung up and hooked her foot in the back of his knee bringing him down on top of her. She hooked his legs again, rolled neatly and pounced on his back. Making them fall. So that she had the upper hand, but falling gave him a chance to get the upper hand again. She didn't speak it was easier to fight when you didn't crowd the spaces with words.

Conner was a little surprised when Britt got the upper hand. When they were on the ground again and she was on top of him, he raised his arms and legs and pushed up with as much force as possible, knocking britt off of him and jumping to his feet again. "Not bad," Conner said with a smirk jumping to the side. His heart was pounding and he wanted to shift, but he couldn't. He knew he would have a much bigger advantage in wolf form. Conner stopped and sat for a moment. He cocked his head. "What does your wolf form look like?" he asked Britt. He wondered for a moment. He really wanted to see the girls new wolf form. He didn't want to push itr though.

Britt rolled with the shove. She was still low to the ground. She felt her heart speed up at coment. She glared into his eyes. "What do you think?" She asked tiliting her head to the side. She couldn't bare to lie to him so she answered with a question. Everyone knew that in wolf form, your fur looked just like your hair and you had the same eyes. I would have been blue black with dark blue eyes. I pushed all thoughts of being a wolf out of my mind and consintrated on him. we were both sweating, so it would be hard to get a grip on any either of us. If he came at me again I knew exactly what I was going to do. I'd go low and then I'd have him.

Conner smiled slyly. "What, scared? I can only imagine, it's not the same as seeing," Conner said standing up. He shrugged. "Oh whatever, not like I cared that much," he lied walking a little ways off. He had a strange feeling about Britt. He wasn't exactly sure if she was actually had a wolf form or not now. What had happened to her that night?

I snorted and smirked. "Do I smell scared?" I asked standing and flipping my shiny black hair over my shoulder. I felt rather proud of my come back. I knew shifters could smell emotions like. Fear. Anxiety. Anger. Nervousness. And one of the strongest things they can smell is Arousal. Surprisingly after last night I had all these abilities to smell better. I didn't know about anything else, but I knew I could smell like a wolf. His skin changed smell when he said he didn't care. "Hmm... I'm not sure but.... I think you just lied to me." I said tilting my head to the side and smirking my most annoying or cute smile, guess it just depended who was looking at me.

My upper lip curled up a bit, but I shrugged. I honestly didn't know what to think of Britt anymore. I felt like I was intruding just knowing what other people felt, but it did come in handy at times. I smirked at Britt. "I don't know, I couldn't really tell what you were feeling under all that...." I stopped witha smirk. "Nevermind..." I said trailing off. I remembered she could tell my feelings too, so I masked them as best as I could trying to keep a calm auora around me. I almost felt bad for Britt being alone on her night of shifting, but I tried my best to shrug it off. She gave me this annoying little smile. I tried not to look to much at it. Not that it was wierd or annoying looking, it was just annoyingly cute. It got to me. I ignored it and kept a calm attitude. I turned away and started walking not looking back. "Whatever, i'm gonna go cool down. I think you-" I stopped midsentence. I turned and leaped for Britt all in one motion. I grabbed her and pinned her down, smiling at her. "Okay, so what if I did lie? Hmm?" I smirked at her, not moving from having her pinned on the ground.

I narrowed my eyes, but didn't loose my smile. I raised my eyebrows at his trailing off, I sniffed the air lightly as to not draw attention to myself. He was masking his sceant. Hmm... I wonder why he was doing that? I was thought and was excited at what the answer might be.
Everything blurred for a minute and when everything came back into focus Conner was on top of me. I felt my heartbeat speed up to like a thousand miles an hour. I hopped he just thought it was because of the fall and not the nearness of him. I looked into his eyes and narrowed my own, but I didn't answer. His hold was weak and I was trained like an MMA fighter well we all were but me more then most. Finally I answered him, "then I'll do this." I twisted side ways and wrapped my arm around his neck, and then I got behind him, wrapped my legs around his stomach and grabbed my elbow to hold my arm in place around his neck. And then I whispered. "Your getting sloppy Con. If I just pull a little bit harder, you'll have to tap."

(I love MMA Fighters and got really into it so I know a few tricks )

I could feel Britt's heart speed up. I didn't mention it or think to much of it, I mean I had just pinned her to the ground. As soon as she twisted sideways I knew I was in trouble. My mood shifted for a moment and I stood stock still in her hold. It had gone from play fighting to real in my mind in two seconds flat. Something had happened like this when I was fighting for Lindsey, and it brought back the feeling of defeat, on of my worst feelings. I shrugged and squirmed, eventually working my way out of Britt's hold. "Okay, you win, I'm done." I walked a little ways across the room then stopped and turned to Britt for a second. I decided to stay down here, just not to fight anymore. I sat down on a bench and mumbled out what I wanted to say, only loud enough for her to barely hear me. "I'm sorry. I should've known that she would choose him. I shouldve gone with you." I didn't want to talk to much, so I went to the better choice and came up behind Britt. "Ya know, " I began but then paused. "I might just be holding back all the tricks I have up my sleeve." I smirked down at Britt. I shrugged off the same wierd feeling I use to get around Lindsey off again. I couldn't be falling for Britt, could I? I mean, it was almost inevitable, but still.

I sat back on my heels and aas Conner walked over to sit down. I realized I had done a stupid move, I should have let him him take me. He had already suffered a blow to his ego because of Rafe. As soon as I heard his words, it was like getting a tenis ball stuck in my throat. I didn't dare move or speak. Was he just saying that because Lindsey had picked Rafe over him? Or because he had lost to Rafe? At his lighter tone I jumped right in to get over my akwardness. "Yeah sure. But I'll you something I learned over the years Conner. Never let your bark be worse then your bite. I never do." I don't know why I said but there was something inside me that felt like I needed to tell him that. I felt a cold sweat run down my back and I shuddered, not from the chil of the sweat but because my body ached. I started to curl over my stomach it hurt so bad. What was going on? My finger tips started to hurt and I couldn't breath.

(Also her eyes turned golden)

I bit my lip, She didn't move or speak when I apologized. I felt bad until she lightened up and the awkward moment was over. I smiled awkwardly at Britt. My "bark" had gotten me in trouble before, trouble I said I could get out of but in reality my "bite" wasn't good enough. I sighed heavily, but then I felt something change in Britt. No, it was impossible. Could she be shifting? Just now? All the thoughts of her not wanting to shift, not wanting to talk about it, all her protective witty little comebacks. I bit my lip and I started to tremble. How could I be so stupid? Of course, I should've noticed it as soon as I got back, but more than that, I should've gone with her in the first place. If she wasn't shifting now, I didn't know what was happening. I bit my lip and held back the urge to punch something. I picked her up gently and quietly and brought her over to the far corner of the room, hidden from the view of the door. "I-I think you might be shifting... If you are, i'm not going to tell anyone, alright?" I whispered quickly and quietly, then I had to stand up and start pacing the room. I couldn't stand still and my whole body was trembling from anger. How could I be so fricken stupid?

I wanted to tell Conner thanks, but nothing was coming out of my throat. He drew ragged breaths, it was so hard to breath. Pain shot through my spin making me stiffen like board, it was called white pain. The kind that makes everything go white. The faded and curled into a ball and I thought. What the heck is going on? I was getting scared. My eyes burned and my skin started to ache, and then I heard my bones start to crack, and reshape. Conner had said he thought I was shifting but I was starting to think I got some weird disease. My vision finally cleared enough for me to look at my hand, and what I saw made me scream. But it came out as more of a groan. My skin was piling back! I could see my muscles and everything else that under the skin. I convulsed and thought I was going to throw up from the pain. This wasn't we shifted! What was happening to me? We shifted by jumping and becoming a bright light and landing as a wolf. It only took seconds. This this was something else entirely. "Con..." I tried to say but it sounded more like a whine. I glanced down at myself as best I could, anywhere I had had skin was nothing but piled back to show only the muscle.

I looked down at Britt smypathetically, and didn't know what to say. She looked in so much pain, I didn't think this was supposed to happen? I thought it was impossible. I turned back to look at her for a second and my stomach grew weak, I resisted the urge to run or throw up. This wasn't shifting at all. What could be happening? I thought shifting was shorter than this. I wanted to do something but I couldn't. I couldn't tell if she was whining or trying to say my name. I kneeled down beside her, not caring how all the muscle looked under her skin anymore. I bit my lip. "Should I go get help? Should I stay here? What do I do!?" I asked, but it was useless. She obviously couldn't reply. I started to pace the room angrily. I felt so helpless, I couldn't even begin to imagine how she felt! I growled, angry at myself. I was being so selfish, I was standing here pacing because of how angry I felt at myself, but I should be finding someway to help her!
