Brittany Reed
I walked back to Wolford tired and exhausted from crying and travailing in human form all the way back here. I hadn't Shifted my dream had been crushed now no male would ever want me as a mate. I didn't know why I hadn't shifted but it made me feel like I was a freak and I would never tell anyone I would just lie. As I walked I stopped when I saw the creek that meant Wolford was only about twenty yards away. I looked up at the moon I felt as if it had betrayed me some how. Two nights ago I was supposed to shift but I didn't and now I was a freak in my own world. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I saw some one standing in the moonlight. It was Conner the only reason I knew that was cause the moon was light enough for me to see by. 'Don't even think about him Britt he's Lindsey's mate now' I thought to myself, I had shifted the same night as Lindsey and I knew he had went with her to be her mate. I wondered how Kaari was, her first shift was last night so she wouldn't be back yet. I didn't say a word to Conner and just waited for him to see me, 'yeah right like he would ever see me as more then a friend' I thought to myself.
(hope ya don't mind but I am kinda drag this out so it lasts longer, cause I have a idea for their first kiss and its gonna be the next night, this is just where she first lies about shifting and he tells her about not being with Lindsey.)

(haha, it's fine.  ) I looked up at the moon enjoying the moonlight. It felt so good. I wondered how Kaari was doing. Lucas went with her and he is crazy about her, so he probably will be with her everywhere she goes for atleast a few days now that her shift was just last night. I heard a noise and turned around. It was Brittany. The sight of her mad me happy but also sad. Her shift was the same night as Lindsey's. I smiled brightly and walked over to her. "Hey," I said with a bright smile. She was really pretty to me. But today something was different. She seemed upset about something. I cocked my head a little. "Something wrong?" I asked my grin not so big anymore. I thought she would be happy since she had had her first shift. Most shifters were after their first shuft, it was just so new to them, and they were always so curious. And usually they traveled back to Wolford in wolf form. It was always alot quicker. And Brittany seemed exhausted. She must have traveled the whole way back here in human form. |

I felt my heart skip a beat when Conner walked over to me. I smiled and nodded. "Hey," I said with a smile, I watched his long blond hair. I used to love his wolf form more then anything, but tonight I was happy with his human form either way he was gorgeous.He was the only person I was gonna feel guilty for lying too. I smiled it was always funny to watch a shifter do that dog head cocked to the side thing mostly cause they turned into wolves. "No just tired, if anyone should understand it should be you since no one helped you threw your first shift either" I said a little uneasily to me but sturdy to anyone else I really hated lying to people I just didn't feel I had any other choice. I looked around, "wheres Lindsey? I'd thought you two would have been together right now" I said looking back to him. Lindsey was my friend but I couldn't help but feel jealous of her.

I smiled at Brittany but it shrunk smaller when she said I should know. I had felt a little guilty her going alone. "Er... Yeah, I guess," I said nodding my head. I frowned when she mentioned lindsey. "Rafe and I fought over her during her shift and well.... Er... You know," I said not wanting to keep talking about it. I had understood. I was surprised she had wanted me to go with her to her shift instead of Rafe in the first place. It was probably bound to happen. Atleast now I didn't have to feel bad about Brittany.

I relized I had said something stupid again! 'Nice goin' Britt' I thought to myself. Everyone knew the first shift was personal and no one ever talked about it, it was like talking about sex with your parents. "Oh." I said to him when he answered about Lindsey. I thought he must have let Rafe win, cause he was to good a fighter to loose if he really wanted to win. But man that must be a blow to his ego (not really she just thinks that). I wondered if he was out here for a run witch meant he would turn into a wolf, I always loved his wolf form but some how I thought it might just depress me tonight.

I smiled at her. "Nah, I don't really care," I said shrugging. I walked few steps away. "Wanna run with me?" I asked her with a smirk. I had a strange feeling I wouldn't see her wolf form for a while, but I hoped I was wrong.

I nodded, I wasn't convinced it didn't bother him. I felt guilty that I would have to lie to him, again. "Huh... I can't I think will just go back to Wolford and take a long shower..." I said at least that wasn't a lie, I needed a shower bad. Then I paused and turned to Conner. "Umm... Conner on my way back I found a trap just big enough for a wolf and I think it was set for us. You know by Bio-Chorm." I said to him. "It was up by the high mountains next to the river" I said to him.
(its fine, here I am gonna do a kinda flash back thing with Lindsey and Conner to show you something that he will say later in it, cause if he doesn't I can't get to where these are going)
Lindsey walked down to the creek by Wolford she knew conner would be there and she wanted to talk with him and make sure he was okay. She found him standing by the little creek. "Conner?" she said walking up to stand next to him. "I'm sorry I chose Rafe over you" she said in a low voice. "Lindsey its fine. I actually realized I wasn't in love with you when you chose Rafe over me. Your just my best friend Lindsey. We've done everything together from like the time we were born." He said smiling fondly at her. "And we were together for like years" she said with a smile. "But yeah you'll always be my best friend Conner." She said with a smile. "So you interested in anyone else?" She asked him. "Nope" he said. "Brittney's available you know and she likes you" Lindsey said with a smile. "I think I am gonna stay away from the dating scene for a while and even I wasn't I don't think me and Brittney would mix well." He said. Lindsey nodded, "well see you later I guess." She said with a smile and heading back to Wolford.
(See because Brittney is gonna think she is the re-bound girl cause I have a plan for him to say that to her, that Lindsey told him Britt liked him, so she is gonna get kinda offended its all working towards a plan I have)

I smiled and walked into the forest heading towards the building. I didn't really hear what he said so I chose to ignore it.
(yeah I have a plan, what I actually meant was in one of the later posts he is gonna tell her that Lindsey told him she liked him.)

(thought I did but was watching TV when I was writing so.... yeah. XD HAHA)
I walked up the front steps of Wolford and found the room I shared with Kaari and Lindsey. When I entered the room, it felt like a slight charge hit me. I looked around the room was dark, but I didn't turn on a light if Lindsey was here she would wonder why I needed it. I think my jaw actually dropped open slightly when I saw Rafe sit up and pull his shirt back on. I smirked a little and tried not to laugh when Lindsey tried to fix her top fast. I was a little surprised that the window by her bed hadn't fogged up. "Well what do we have here" I said with a smirk. "Oh my god Britt!" Lindsey said getting up and hugging me. "I'm so glad your okay" she said to me. "Well thanks for that." I said trying to breath under the bear huge. "Hey Britt. See told ya shes be okay" Rafe said to Lindsey. "Well I'll be going" Rafe said and if there had been light in there I had a feeling I would have seen him blushing slightly. "Wait! Rafe I found a trap and I think Bio-Chorm set it for one of us" I said to him. "Damn. I will go tonight and see if I can find it" he said. "huh I already told Conner, I think he was gonna go see if he could find it" I said to him and he nodded. "I will talk to Lucas tomorrow about a meeting between the dark guardians and the elder tomorrow morning" he said to us before leaving. And me and Lindsey talked some I took a shower and went to bed.

I ran through the forest my sides now heaving. I took a sudden stop and looked around. I tried to think about what I was forgetting. I shrugged and ran ahead. I ran and ran until I nearly tripped, so I quickly jumped up and heard a snap. I cursed under my breath. The trap. That's what I was forgetting. It was a second to late, it had only managed to chop off some of the hairs on my tail. A stick was lodging it now though. I quickly turned back to human form and carefully picked the trap up. I looked around wondering if there were any others, but I couldn't seem to find any.
