Taipan

I just laughed when she said I was cheating, I smiled and laughed more when Jackal tried to blind me but he did manage to knock me off balance long enough for Ezzy to break free of my ice. I growled and hissed diving out of the way the lightning, I laughed and shook my head knowing what she was trying to do, she was trying to blind me for a minute but my silver eyes were immune to that. I rolled forward and hissed/yelped when she zapped me. I whirled and and snarled, not aggressively though. When she zapped the trout onto my nose I growled and threw it off and caught it before it hit the water. I smiled at her and lashed my tail and clicked my wings together, “you are so gonna pay.” I hissed out slowly with a smirk. I took a deep breath and waited a second and then sent out my dark blue smoke, it wrapped around her and I knew it was drawing the heat out of her body, nothing that would hurt her or something she couldn't get out of but it would hold her for the moment. While I held her there I shook out my wings and healed the stings she had caused, I smirked at her and whispered, “now what ya gonna do?”

I was smirking at Ezzy when all the sudden something big, dark and strong tackled me and sent us both flying across the field, when she stopped rolling she was standing on top of me. “Hello Taipan, your gonna pay...” She said with a vicious smirk. I smirked right back and hissed, “Tayra.”

I laughed gleefully as Taipan caught the trout, still caught in throes of laughter.I growled playfully when Taipan said I was gonna pay. "And I suppose you're gonna make me?" I snorted. My laughter stopped as a thick smoke wrapped around me and sapped the warmth from my body. For a second I was confused, and feigned fear while Taipan smirked at me. I hunkered down on the bank, rocks digging into my armored underbelly. I raised a scaly eyebrow in reply to his question, and opened the little bead deep inside me that controlled my magic. All the heat in the rocks, dirt and environment seeped back into me, and I lay relaxed on the bank, slowly soaking in all the light around me. "That's what I'm gonna do," I retorte. Now I was the one smirking, as Taipan's smoke couldn't do anything to me. "Light dragon, remember?" I said drily. I jerked up from my relaxed position as a huge dragon jumped Taipan. I growled and lashed my tail, waiting for an opportunity to jump in and slash at the attacker, when I heard what she said to Taipan. I prowled forwards, towards the two, but stayed far enough away that I was out of striking range. Cocking my head to the side and narrowing my eyes, I hissed. "You two know each other?" I asked, my question directed to Taipan. To the female dragon, I growled a low warning. "Who're you?"

Taipan ~ I hissed and kicked Tayra off of me and growled, I hated it when she got the drop on me. I lashed my tail and looked at Ezzy, "yeah we know each other." I shook out my blue scales and glared at Tayra for tackling me when I was just ready to get into a happy trick playing game. I hissed at her again and snapped, "why are you here Tayra?"

Tayra ~ I snorted and easily flipped and rolled to my feet, I lowered my head in respect to Ezzy and said, "I am Tayra from the Fear dragon clan." I said thinking she wouldn't believe that I even existed. I turned back to Taipan and snapped very close to his face. "I came here because Alease said you disappeared, why aren't you back at the caves? You know that's where the queen wants you! But oh you had to go and run away and I had to come looking for you because Crqaz and Shadow are busy! And Alease is a stuck up beep that cared for nothing but her own pleasure and hunting you down didn't equal that!" I snapped right in front of his eye, my purple scales gleaming and my bark eyes flashing. I wasn't really made but he sure as heck didn't know that. "And another thing! Why did you have to come so far up the mountain and such a hot day! Ya know others can feel the heat! Also the dang wind was whipping all nut-so today and totally wrecked my wings!" I snapped and then turned to Ezzy a look of mischief in my eyes hoping she would understand that I was just messing with him cause he made me fly all the way up here.

I growled softly to myself, watching the two dragons. The dragon that called herself Tayra was acting aggressively, but for some reason I didn't quite believe she was going to harm anybody. Not yet, anyway. When she introduced herself to me, I laughed in astonishment. "A Fear dragon? Yeah, right," I scoffed. I glanced at Taipan, half jokingly. Who did this she-dragon think she was? When Taipan didn't argue or claim that Tayra was lying, I backed up a step, the tip of my tail twitching. "Fear dragons aren't even around anymore...Right? I mean...they're extinct, right?" I hated that my voice turned to nearly a squeak at the last word. Before, I'd been angry and even a little afraid at the mention of darkness dragons. But the Fear clan? That was a whole other piece of pie. I swallowed, hard, and tried to look nonchalant. This day was just getting better and better, wasn't it? I watched the next exchange between Taipan and Tayra, and jolted when I heard the names Shadow and Craz. Those names seemed familiar, and my scales bristled at the thought of them. "Who're they?" I said, without really meaning to. I could've sworn that Jertinus knew dragons by those names. The only thing I knew for sure was that I really, really didn't wanna get caught up in this whole tangle. I tried to follow the conversation, but I was completely lost. Forgetting for the moment that Tayra claimed to be a Fear dragon -which, by the way, if she really was would mean I should probably have started running for my life, like...yesterday- , I stepped forwards and broke into their conversation. "Can somebody please just explain to me what in the love of skies is going on here?!" My eyes were wide, as my brain raced to try and fit all the puzzle pieces together. I nearly didn't catch Tayra's glance, but somehow I did. And I'd know that look anywhere; it was most often reflected in my own face. The look that says "I ain't seriously gonna hurt ya, but I'm gonna have a little fun messing with your mind". I gave a tiny, almost imperceptible nod of my head to let her know I understood, trying not to let a satisfied smirk creep across my face. I sat back on my haunches with a haughty look, waiting for somebody to explain to me what was happening.

Tayra ~ I glanced over at Ezzy and lashed my tail with a smirk. "Really? I'm extinct? I had no idea." I laughed at the she-dragon, I turned back to Taipan and smiled and flicked out my tongue and hissed. "We are very real." I seeped out and as I spoke a red mist stuff began to slither and creep from me as it did it slowly spun and weaved a web around Taipan and he froze. Unable to move stuck in his own worst nightmare. I smirked and sat back on my haunches looking to Ezzy. "Were far from a myth..." I hissed and then snapped my head back to Taipan and snapped. "Release him!" The red smoke poofed and went away and Taipan dropped to the ground glaring at me with the darkness in his eyes. I smiled and hissed looking to Ezzy. "Shadow is the leader of the Darkness Dragons and the queens most trusted family, Craz is his mate and his second also the Queen's closest adviser. And Since they are gone and working I was sent to bring back the runaway." I said shooting a glare at Taipan. "Anyway since I have been looking out for Taipan the last few years the queen thought it best to send up an entire moutian and kill my wings to bring him back!" I spat the last part Taipan. He was now standing and lashed his tail, I could tell by the look in his eyes that he was worried how I was gonna get him back. He glanced at Ezzy and I could tell that he knew she had seen something in me that was a threat to him.

(Gotta plan for the, we should have Tayra and Ezzy both tackle him but right before they do he takes off into the sky What ya think? )

I growled silently to Tayra as she wrapped Taipan in a weird misty thing. I was also trying to plan out how to run away screaming without her noticing. She can't be a Fear dragon I thought to myself, tail twitching. But everything she said and did pointed to the fact that she was. The bad feeling in my stomach riled up again at the mention of Shadow and Craz, but I figured if Tayra was telling the truth, and the Queen really did trust them, then they couldn't be too bad. I gulped when Tayra said she'd been looking for Taipan for years. I cocked my head and looked at him. "Why'd you run away?" I asked him, without thinking. I cringed when Tayra snapped at him. As much as I didn't trust him, I felt bad for being on the bad end of her wrath. Still, I had a tug-of-war sensation inside me. Part of me wanted to run for my life in a direction that was far away from Tayra, yet the other part kind of liked her attitude. She reminde me a little of myself, except kinda way more scary. I pointely looked away as Taipan glanced at me, pretending not to notice. I hoped he wouldn't catch on to anything until Tayra and I had given him a good fright. I lashed my tail and glanced at the other dragon, wondering what she had planned.

~ Tayra ~

I smirked and rolled my eyes at Ezzy's fear. We fear dragons could feel others fear and it also made our power stronger when they were around us and the more scared they were the stronger we became but I could feel her fear easying as she started to understand what I was doing. I shook out my poor tired wings and looked to Taipan as Ezzy asked the question. I heard him growl/groan and then he stood and shook out his mucsles I asumed that they were stiff from being so scared.

~ Taipan ~

After I shook out my large wings and lashed out my tail, I looked to Ezzy and sighed, "I may be half darkness dragon but it is not my way of life, I respect them and what they do but they are to brutal for me. So I left but apparently the Queen wants me there." I hissed directing the last part at Tayra. "Hey don't look at me! I didn't want to fly all over tornation looking for your hyde!" She snapped lashing her tail. I snorted it wasn't my problem but I never took my eyes off of her, I knew she blamed me for having to fly all over the land searching for me and she was one of the best known tricksters alive.

~ Tayra ~

I snorted and waited to see if Ezzy would catch onto the idea I had after my next words at Taipan. I had to be careful with them because Taipan knew code too. "Taipan just come back down the moutnian before something attacks you or a bolder falls on your head! Or do I have to tackle you with my fear and drag your butt back down!" I snapped sending just a thread of the red mist to make him think I was deadly serious.

I glared in Tayra's direction as she rolled her eyes at me. She might be a Fear dragon, but she was starting to be more annoying than scary. I glanced to Taipan and listened to his reasoning, nodding my head unconsciously. "Fair enough..." I said to him, understanding. I followed his gaze to Tayra and felt sorry for my new friend. As the female spoke to Taipan, I clicked on to her plan. Digging my talons into the earth in anticipation, I had to restrain myself from grinning. I snorted to cover a chuckle and made it look as though I didn't believe Tayra would really haul Taipan back down the mountain. Even though I knew she was acting, the mist she sent towards Taipan made me shiver, and draw back from her a little. I inaled deeply, and frowned to Taipan. "You really gonna let her drag you back down?" I murmured to him. I relaxed my muscles so Taipan wouldn't sense what I was about to do. I wanted him to think I was on his side for now. 'I am on his side, I thought to myself. Even so, I could never let a good prank get past me. Hunching down slightly, I flicked my gaze to Tayra and clenched my paws. It probably looked to Taipan like I was going to jump at the female. I glared at her, lashed my tail twice, then sprang forwards, at the last minute diverting so I'd collide with Taipan.

~ Taipan ~

I glanced at Ezzy and then started listening to the way Tayra was talking, they thought they were so smart. Tayra would never actaully say tackle in a threat she was known for having a mouth like a sailor and if she had been serious my ears would have been burned off by now. I saw Ezzy getting to tackle someone it looked as if she was getting ready to attack Tayra but I wasn't stupid, I tried to keep from smirking as I watched the two females. Tayra growled and lashed her tail still thinking I didn't know what she had somehow worked out with Ezzy. I tried not to smirk and right when Ezzy dove for me so did Tayra. I laughed and lunged stright up into the sky, "didn't work!" I called down.

I snarled in frustration as I crashed to the ground, and stared up at Taipan as he leaped into the sky. "Damn!" I growled, glaring upwards. With an agry lash of my tail, I narrowed my eyes, keeping Taipan in my sights. I sent a bolt of electricity straight towards him, landing him square on the hindquarters. I smirked as I heard a satisfying pop! and a sizzle, and leaned back on my haunches. "Who says it didn't work?!" I called back up to him. I whipped my head around to glance at Tayra. "We gonna go after him or what?" I asked her, lashing my tail. I wanted nothing more than to zap Taipan til he landed right back here, but I didn't want to ally myself with Tayra. Even though she was a fellow trickster, I didn't trust her one bit.

~ Tayra ~

I kept myself from laughing at Ezzy's annoyance at Taipan getting away, she was very quick to strik though and I loved the loud yelp Taipan did before trying jerk higher into the sky. I sat down and gently spoke to Ezzy. "Young dragons are so quick to jump into traps." I said with a sigh, Taipan would easily send Shadow Ice into our veins up in the sky but on the ground it would be harder for him to do so but in the sky we would be weaker and more concerned with flying. I snorted and said, "you go ahead on after him, I won't be flying for about six hours." What I said was the truth my wings were killing me and it wouldn't be a smart idea for me to chase him around the sky. Taipan was wicked fast up there, I smiled and his looped and stayed away keeping an eye on Ezzy waiting for her lightning. Something flickered in his eyes and I didn't get what it was at first and then I knew, it was happiness. I sighed and lashed my tail he belonged here in a sense. He would and could never belong to this clan but he could Ally himself with it. He would always be a darkness dragon this I knew and I knew he would go home when he was ready but I could also tell that the young boy was very happy teasing and joking Ezzy. Craz would tell him he was crazy and come home, no dragon would ever except what they were and even I knew it bothered and enraged him when someone bashed the Darkness dragons. But the Queen wanted it that way, if they knew that they were Queens most loyal people then the bad ones would come after them. It wasn't their place to be known as the heros they really were just the Darkness in our land.

~ Taipan ~

I hissed as I floated above them, I wanted them in the sky so that I could freeze their blood and slow down their magic but I knew there was no way Tayra would ever jump up here after me, but Ezzy I could bait. I lashed my tail and said, "that was what was supposed to happen? Really? I thought you were trying sneak attack me and it didn't work." I said with a teasing laugh, I looked at Tayra and said, "nice job to you if it had been Cynder with you I would never have guessed but with this youngster here well it was just plain easy to see what y'all were up to." I laughed and beat my wings again getting ready to run from Ezzy's lightning, I knew it had really been Tayra to give up the plan to me but Ezzy didn't and she seemed very easy to bait into a trap.

I frowned at Tayra and lashed my tail in irritation. "I'm not stupid you know!" I glared to her. "I know better than to fall into a trap." I glanced up into the sky, looking past Taipan and up, into the clouds. They were white and fluffy, no good for electricity. I sighed and grumbled to myself. I looked at Tayra and she seemed lost in thought, so instead I looked up at Taipan, watching him loop around in the sky above us. I glared at him when he taunted me, then cocked my head to the side and plastered a lazy grin on my snout. "Well you thought wrong then. Obviously we knew you were going to fly off, do you think we're stupid?" I called up to him. I knew as well as Taipan did that he'd known our plan, but it wouldn't stop me from trying to throw him off. "For all you know, you've just put yourself right into the next part of our plan." I grinned and cocked my head, as if I was listening for a storm. I smiled in satisfaction, and sat up, stretching out my long, lean body and opening my wings. I flared them, then settled them against my body again, yawning wide. I searched with my magic and found a smal pocket of stale air right above Taipan. Without making any hint as to what I was going to do, I rubbed at it with my mind, causing enough friction for it to sizzle with static. I smiled and looked to Taipan, and with a flick of my tail I sent a bolt of light and energy straight past him, big enough that it would have fried him if it had made contact. At the same time, I leaped into the air and shot past the dragon, spiralling up into the sky and hiding among the fluffy clouds. I soared gently through the clouds, trying to find one with enough energy in it to start a small thunderstorm. I glanced down at Taipan, and couldn't see him through the white. I flapped my wings and climbed higher, breaking out above the cloudbank and peering down. I could see Taipan hovering a mile or so below me, and smiled.

~ Taipan ~

I almost laughed when Ezzy snapped at Tayra. Tayra simply sighed and turned her head to the side a sly smirk on her face that Ezzy couldn't see, I knew she knew that it was her that gave them up but wasn't saying so to Ezzy. I snorted at Ezzy she really thought she could bluff me into thinking that their plan had gone wrong? If it had gone right Tayra would never have let me into the sky. I laughed and called to Ezzy, "well stupid is a little strong but a little iggnorent might fit!" I dodged to the side avoiding the lightning knowing it wouldn't have hit me anyway but it did throw off my balance for a minute and when I looked back Ezzy was gone, I groaned and darted into the clouds where I would be invisable to her, I slow raised and knew what she was looking for a dry pocket for energy its what would be natural for her to look for one. I sniffed the air searching for her and then smilled when I found her but I couldn't risk getting close to her, I darted back down where she could see me and the shot forward and back where she couldn't this should confuse her I thought and this time when I was in the clouds I let out my shadow ice. It looked like spilt ink rolling and mixing into the clouds looking for any living thing. I smiled as it coils and rolled looking and then I dropped back from the clouds waiting for the shadows to wrap around her and pull her out of the clouds.

As I was hanging above the clouds, Taipan started darting back and forth, trying to confuse me. I smirked and gently dropped lower into the clouds, originally going to drop onto him in a sneak attack. As soon as I entered the bank of clouds, I noticed the temperature was significantly colder than it had been just a minute ago. Straining my wings, I flapped as hard as I could and pulled out of the clouds, remembering being trapped in Taipan's ice magic. Sure enough, I saw a shadowy chill creeping through the clouds, and knew it was searching for me. I narrowed my eyes and saw Taipan below them, so I turned and darted back towards the mountains. I caught a draft of air and gently glided down until I was right behind Taipan, hovering at his back. I opened my jaws and roared as loudly as I could, then grabbed his shoulders with my forepaws and hoping like hell he wouldn't fall out of the sky. "Boo!" I growled in his ear, shaking him once and letting go, flapping above him and zapping him on the snout with a tiny pop of electricity. I knew it was dangerous being so close to him, but I couldn't resist teasing him.

I lashed my tail searching the sky for Ezzy and when she roared and grabbed me it only momentarly stunned me. I sneered at her and dove down through the clouds and quickly shot back up, I was nothing but a blue blur. I sniffed the air and searched around with my silver eyes when I suddenly spotted her shiny reflective scals, I dropped down above without a sound and slowly let out my Shadow Ice, like ink in water it looped and spun wrapping around her like a snake. I grinned and whispered, "boo..." I laughed and lashed my tail and drifed into front of her and just hovered latting more of my magik wrap her up like ink. "Ready to give up? A little more Shadow Ice and your wings will cramp." I laughed letting her know that I was just teasing.

I snarled as Taipan's stupid magic started wrapping around me. I knew better than to wriggle, so I slowly flapped my wings, just enough to keep myself floating in the air. I growled at Taipan as he hovered in front of me, baring my fangs and wrinkling up my snout.
"I don't give up," I hissed at him. I lashed my tail to keep it moving, as Taipan's magic started cooling my blood.
I floated in the air, glaring at Taipan, and started trying to spark my magic. At first, nothing happened, and I grew frustrated, but then something clicked, and a tiny bead of static buzzed in the pits of my stomach. I snarled at Taipan, acting angry, and began slowly chipping away at his icy hold with my magic. Instead of directly hitting it, i sparked two beads of friction off each other and used the tiny burst of electricity to begin untangling myself from Taipan's hold.

~ Taipan ~

I grinned at Ezzy's anger at getting caught in my magic. She was fun to mess with that was for sure, I lashed my tail and laughed at her answer. "Good cause a quieter ain't worth my efforts." I said with a snirk, I zipped up and back down in front of her. She was getting out of my magic I knew this and thought it slightly funny that she couldn't tell that she was very telling when she worked her magic. I smiled and sat back in the air spitting a little more magic for her to work through not enough to clog the gaps she ahd already made but enough to stall her a little longer. I slowly lowered myself closer to the ground and drug her closer to the ground with me.

~ Tayra ~

I sighed bored with Ezzy and Taipan's game both pathedice about this thing and put pranking compelty to shame,I shook my head and rolled my eyes and said. "Please one of you finish this! You are boring me, and Taipan you are letting her slip out of your magic this I know and it is boring just finish her already." I snorted and looked at them. "I could have had this done a long time ago and you two would have been bowing to me with respect of pranking." I said with a huff and flicked out my tongue.

I hissed at Taipan as I felt myself being slowly pulled towards the ground. I got stronger with my magic, chipping out bigger hits of his magic and slowly freeing myself. By now, Taipan must already know what I was doing, and I didn't care. I was getting cold.
"I don't see any quitters around here," I growled to him, carving a chunk of his ice out with a zap of electricity. I could wriggle my tail now, and I used it as a balancer, evening myself out as I was pulled towards the ground. I freed my neck and head, and arched my head down to glare at Tayra.
"I don't see you up here doing anything!" I called down to her. "If you're so bored, go away."
I lashed my tail angrily, frustrated. My wings were beginning to ache, and my talons itched to sink themselves into Taipan's irritating hide. "If you're so high and mighty, how come you're down on the ground complaining because you're tired?" I yelled down to Tayra. She might think she was better than everyone, but she was annoying the heck outta me. I drew all the surrounding natural electricity into my body and shot it outwards with a burst, shattering the last of Taipan's ice and floating lazily down to land on the earth. I scowled at the male before rounding on Tayra.
"How dare you wander into my clan's land, and tell me how to do things?! You might have power wherever you're from, but here you are nobody!" I growled, my snout an inch from hers.
Somewhere in the back of my mind was a niggling feeling that I was getting myself into trouble, but hey, I never listened to that anyway. I stared at Tayra, for the first time in my life actually letting the power of being second in command wash over me. I was young, yes. She could probably eat me for breakfast and not even get indigestion, sure. But she was in my land, and I deserved some respect from her!
"If you're the queen of pranking, get out there and prank already," I snarled, lashing my tail with irritation. She talked herself up so much, but was she actually doing anything? No! I huffed angrily, baring my fangs in annoyance, and stalking off to curl up under a tree, scowling at Taipan and the female alternatively. Now I was annoyed. I zapped a fly that landed on my snout and watched it sizzle into a pile of ash. Hmph.

~ Tayra ~

I lashed my tail and snorted at Ezzy clicking my teeth, when I snorted red mist floated out of my nose and mouth. My were so dark purple they looked like endless black pits, this would be fun. I sat down and calmly spoke to her. "Well I was talking about both of you, neither of you really know how to carry this out." I said and then when I heard Taipan snort I growled for the intaruption and hissed a red mist wrapped around him and dropped him right to the ground. "Second of all to you Ezzy I never said I was the queen of pranking I said you two are an insult to it. And I don't fight from the air cause my magic freezes you from using anything in your body and youd fall out of the sky and hurt yourself. And about ninety percent of the time my magic is deadly." I smirked at her and sent a little tenril of fear to wrap around her foot it freez that one part of her giving her enough fear to fuction but not move her feet. I smiled and said, "oh! And I didn't wander into your land I was sent by the queen." I heard Taipan make a little sawking sound and I said. "Oh yeah release him." The mist shimmered and went poof, nothing was left. "And yes I'm bored but I am easily boreded and youngsters like you two truly have no real experience in this matter, pranking is tact and can save your life." I said looking between the two. "Okay Darkness, Fear and Poison all use their mist and goop to survive but if your weak and can't use your magic they use tact which they learn from being prankers and tristers." I said and knew that Ezzy would also know that Poison dragon were suposed to be exstinct too. But I knew better since my dad was a Poison dragon.

I growled to Tayra from my position under the tree, staring at her with an unblinking eye. She wasn't scary anymore, just annoying. I watched as she dropped Taipan to the ground and snarled. Not that I care what happened to him...but she was acting like the boss and I didn't like it.
"For your information, this isn't a life or death situation," I snapped to Tayra in irritation. "It's called fun, you should try it sometime crankyscales." I whipped my tail and lowered my head to my forepaws with a heavy thud, narrowing my eyelids to scowl at the female. "Pranking and fighting are two different things," I muttered under my breath. 'Ooh, isn't she scary,' I thought as Tayra mentioned her so called deadly magic. I rolled my eyes at her comment and watched, unimpressed as a snake of red mist wrapped around my foot. I could feel little spikes of worry flicker inside of me, but I knew it was just Tayra's magic and not anything truly fearsome. "What am I supposed to do, freak out? Run screaming? Or try to run screaming but fail because I can't feel my foot? Puh-lease," I snorted. I sighed at her talking, getting annoyed. "So the queen sent you, woohoo!" I said, feigning excitement. "She sent you here to get Taipan, not to act like you're in charge. And quit calling me youngster!" I snarled to her. "I may not be very old, but I'm second in command here and I'm not liking the way you're blatantly ignoring that," I said lashing my tail. I prodded my stiff foot with my nose, interested . It rolled over as I nudged it, but when I tried to flex my muscles nothing happened. "Hm," I said, in a 'would-ya-look-at-that' tone. I lifted my gaze and stared at Tayra, ignoring her mention of Poison dragons. Since a Fear dragon had shown up in my lands I was being less and less surprised. I scowled at her, snorting. "I'll use my wits and tricks when I have to," I said to her. "But when it comes to joking around and having fun, I'll do it my own way, thank you very much." I rolled my eyes at her. Why did adults have to make everything so serious and about survival? I knew how to keep myself alive, but that wasn't what the whole dang world revolved around.

~ Tayra ~

I snorted now annoyed that the young dragons were not getting my point. I sighed and looked to the ground shaking my head, dang they reminded me that I was now the old dragon that got annoyed by youngsters. I lashed my tail and hissed is a whispery filmy voice dripping with red mist. "It may seem like fun now but when you live through a life of war and fighting it is very easy to lose the line, when your life is threatened you use everything you know." I hissed lashing my tail, I glanced at Taipan as he nodded to me, he was young but he knew about survival by wits after all he had survived getting into the darkness dragons. I laughed and shook my head, "pranking is a form of training that teaching us how to use our wits why do you think so many dragons do it? Or even feel the need to take it serious ninety percent of the time?" I asked with a smirk shaking my head and whipped my tail in circles. I stretched out my wings and sighed as I heard them pop and crack with relief of getting the joints unhinged. I flicked out my tongue and smiled, "nah... it wasn't supposed to scar you if I was you would be afraid not making snarky comments to a dragon that is second most deadly next to a Darkness dragon and one above a Poison dragon." I said with a slight smile, Ezzy may not have liked me all that much but I was beginning to like her very much she had great potential as a leader and a fighter if she kept up all this good pranking, of course I would never tell her this myself. No I was to much like her when I was young to give her any kind of complement. I laughed and said, "I haven't even hinted that I think I'm in charge here, all I did was simply stat my opinion on yours and Taipan's pranking. And again I haven't showed you any disrespect cause disrespect would be not telling you that your not bad at pranking but if you refined it a little you'd have some very good skills, its wits that protect you from rouge dragons." I hissed out flapping my wings twice before bringing them back to me. I snorted at her when she rolled her eyes at me and hissed, "you better hope its not anytime soon and I mean that, rouges are aggressive and they won't let up when you can't handle it anymore. That reminds me that Queen wants all the clans in the area to be on the look out for rouge dragons coming from the outer lands." I said lashing my tail, the outer dragons were breaking their truce not to come in and cause trouble but that was to be expected since most were rouge anyway. I watched her mess with her foot and said. "Release her dang feet." The red mist hissed and dissolved.

~ Taipan ~

I lashed my tail unsure of what was happening or what would come of this. I almost laughed at Ezzy though cause I knew Tayra would only say those things to me and Ezzy if she thought there was something to be polished there. I had to agree though that there was a very fine and thin line between pranking and fighting, I had almost died going through the trials of becoming a member of the Darkness dragon it had been harsh and had almost killed me and the two other dragons I had been with did get killed, it had been my pranking skills that had saved my life since Craz had known how to counter all my magic with her own. I lashed my tail and laughed at what Ezzy said to Tayra, I knew it had to be annoying her so much for one reason and one reason only the fact that she was just Tayra when she had been young.

I snorted at Tayra and sighed, flicking the end of my tail back and forth fast enough to gouge a long furrow in the ground behind me. "I'm sure when it comes to fighting, I'll use it too," I said to her, bored. "But if you haven't noticed, we weren't fighting for our lives here. I'm not stupid you know, I do understand that there is a time for fun and a time for being serious. But even though pranking and tricking may save my life, I'm not gonna use them as a weapon all the time. There is a time for doing it for fun. Otherwise I'll just end up like you."
I snarled when Tayra laughed at me, and growled low in my throat. I was sick of her thinking she was better than everyone just because she was a fear dragon. I spat at the ground, and watched my saliva pool and sizzle with the searing heat. Licking my lips, I sat huffily and glared at Tayra. And Taipan too, for that matter. He might not be saying anything, but he wasn't intervening either I glared at him sullenly for not backing me up, and returned my stare to the female, clawing at the earth under my talons. Frowning at her, I rolled my eyes again. "I'm sure I'll be thinking of you when a rogue dragon drops in to say hello," I said sarcastically to her. "There hasn't been a rogue here for nearly a century! Like they're just gonna start rolling up the mountain. Besides, even if they did enter my lands, our clan is bigger than you'd think. We have our own ways of protecting ourselves, and they just so happen to be none of your darned business!" I snapped at her and lashed my tail, my wings trembling and begging to be opened so I could just soar away. But I wouldn't dare give Tayra that satisfaction. I glowered at her when she released my foot from her mist. It throbbed and pulsed with pins and needles, but there was no way I was going to lick it better while she could see. I rolled my shoulders and glared at her silently, snarling every few moments with unabated anger. She just frustrated me so dang much! I snorted, and a handful of sparks sizzled and popped in front of my muzzle. Even my magic was becoming angry, I noted with a smirk.

~ Tayra ~

I growled at her still not getting my point on this whole thing. I lashed my tail and shook my wings wanting to go home but well that would be immpossible now my wings were so stiff I'd be here for at least a day at the shortest. I snarled to myself annoyed that the Queen sent me here, why the heck did she think that I should come here! I glanced at Taipan and then at Ezzy and sighed they were the reason she wanted me to meet the young female. Why have freaking idea. I snorted and said simply. "I know you weren't fighting it called pretending and I know there is a time for fun and this may or not be one, keeping on your toes is what keeps you alive. For all you knew Taipan could have been a rouge why else would he be leaving the land of the Queen? Other then he's just stupid." I spat at him, I was so ticked off at him that I had to stay another day here. I sighed and cooled my temper before I did something I would or wouldn't regret depended on how bad I did it. I laughed, "yeah well I only act like this when the Queen makes me fly and work all week looking for an ungratful brat!" I spat at Taipan again and then added again spitting at him. "And becuase of that ungreatful creature I have to stay here another day cause my wings are out." I snarled looking at Taipan. "Stupid." I muttered under my breath like an angry youngster. I snarled and almost zapped Ezzy with fear when she rolled her eyes at me when I gave the warning of the rouge dragons. "For your information it was the Queen herself that said they will be coming into your land, five already hit the Forest and Tree clans and two went after the Desert." I snapped I could banter and argue with her all day but when she insulted the Queen's orders it was my job to get angry. "And seven tree dragons were killed along with two earth dragons. And almost an entire clan of deserts were killed too." I said and this time I knew I had really gotten Taipan's attention too cause he looked worried and I said. "The Ice dragons are fine the Darkness dragon got the rougs before they got that far." He looked a little more calm and nodded his head I looked back to Ezzy. "If the Queen asks me to deliever the message then it my bussiness if the second in command won't take it serious! When someone says the Queen wanted them to tell you something you don't ignore that and make rude comments!" I snapped and turned walked further away done with this little game of mine it was now annoying and would push me to far if I stayed close enough to listen to her. "Talk to me when you honestly want the rest of the message our Queen sent you leaders."

~ Taipan ~

By the time I understood what the heck was going on Tayra was out ear shot even I yelled to her, I looked to the ground rougs? Really and that many attacking clans? Seven Tree dragons dead? I couldn't believe it. And I knew when Tayra was lying there was no way she was this time. I looked to Ezzy and pushed those thoughts out of my head and said. "What? Why are you glaring at me? I didn't say anything." I said frowning.

(Tayra's out for a moment.)

I growled to Tayra, lashing my tail angrily. Standing, I padded over to her, for once no fear in me at all. Stalking right up to the huge she-dragon, I stopped and stared her square in the eye.
"Give.Me.Some.Darned.RESPECT!" I roared at her, my eyes flashing with anger. So what, she had a message from the Queen. Of course I would listen to that. I'd listen to anything the Queen said in a heartbeat, but Tayra could deliver the message with dignity instead of insulting me. I glanced to Taipan and lashed my tail again, growing more angry with Tayra. "And you can stop with the insults, to me and Taipan," I glowered. When she finally mentioned something important, I backed off a couple of steps to hear her out. Dropping to my haunches, I frowned when she relayed information about the rogues. "You could have mentioned that to start with," I growled at her, sparks dancing in the air around me. "The Forest and Tree clans aren't too far from here...but what are the rogues thinking, breaking the treaty?" I wondered aloud. It wasn't a question, just my own way of thinking things through. I hissed with worry, and sizzles of electricity drove into the ground, their charge dying when they hit the earth. "How far away are they? Is there actually rogues on their way up the mountains?" I asked Tayra, my voice sharp and business like. I may be young, but it was part of my job to protect m family and clan, and no petty dislike could get in the way of that. If stupid Tayra had been respectful from the start and not looked down on me like I was a moronic hatchling then maybe our conversation could've reached the important stuff sooner.
I glanced over to Taipan when Tayra moved away, and lashed my tail at his question. "Exactly! You didn't say anthing at all," I growled to him, my sapphire eyes flashing. Now wasn't the time for arguing though. I needed the Queen's message, so I could relay it to my father and prep our clan for action.
"Tayra, what did the Queen say?" I hissed through my teeth. I needed to know, and even though she was angry, she had to tell me what was going on. She wouldn't let an argument get in the way of duty, would she? I frowned, a bead of worry forming. What if by being snappy at her, I'd ruined my chances of getting information? We'd never be prepared for the rogues attack if she didn't talk to me. I padded over to Taipan and whined to him.
"Make her listen!" I said to him, almost pleadingly. I'd lost the authority and anger, and reverted to a scared and fragile youngster that just wanted everything to be okay. And I needed my dad.

I sighed and shook my head, Ezzy didn't understand that Tayra had tried to tell her when she made the comment about the rouges not coming here in over a century. He rolled his head wondering if it was possible for a dragon to get a headache. I dropped my head and thought about saying something to Ezzy about Tayra trying to tell her but I was in no mood to get yelled at by yet another female. I lashed my tail, snorted and glared at her a moment before comeing back to the problems at hand but first I had to set her streaight on why I hadn't said anything. "For thing if I had spoken against her in anyway she would just freez me with fear cause I would be getting her way and do you think I wanted to get her anymore mad at me? She's crazy!" I said lashing my tail, I turned my face away from her when she whined to me and sighed before looking back to her. "If she knew when they were coming she would have told you. She isn't heartless or stupid she would risk your clans life to get back at you. And she isn't gonna listen to me, its because of me that she now has to spend the night here or maybe a few extra days." I said simply to her. I swished my tail and flapped my wings once. "Okay now is not the time but if you want Tayra to talk then you have to make nice and to her that is respecting the Queen and her work for the Queen that's it, she does respect you and you need to understand that. I'm not saying be civil to her she doesn't care weather or not you respect her as long as you respect her work for the Queen. The only reason she got mad at you is because she thought that you were ignoring the Queen's word when you made the comment about the century thing." I said and then added. "When she insults you on your pranking it means she thinks your good and that you have potenil as a great warrior. I know that because I spent like a year with her and her twin sister. They are only trying to make you see how good you really are so that you don't ever get caught off guard by another." I said trying to ease Ezzy's tention and added for safe messure. "Its not the best method of encuragemeny but there is usually someone else around who knows what she means and can translate back to you when she is gone." I chuckled thinking of all the times I had done something perfectly and she said this and this was wrong and I wanted to rip her head off. "Trust me she likes it that you yell and snap back at her and that is how she respects you." I said.

I glowered at Taipan, staring at him pleadingly until he spoke. When he finally did, it wasn't the answer I wanted. I hissed at him, lashing my tail and zapping him just for the hell of it.
"So what if she's crazy?" I snapped at him. "Things'll get a lot crazier when the rogues start invading! Stop being a chicken!" I growled to him and rolled my shoulders, hearing my scales creak in protest. I really needed some sleep.
I rolled my eyes at the male, realising with irritation that he was right, in a way. Tayra wasn't gonna talk to him, much less than she'd talk to me. "Fine!" I snarled angrily. I glared at Taipan and landed a jolt of electricity on his snout for even daring to mention that I wasn't respecting the Queen.
"I would never, never ignore the Queen's word," I hissed, leaning right up in Taipan's face, my eyes sparking dangerously. "No matter what Tayra thinks, I'm loyal and I will be til the day I die!" I growled and paced away from the male. He was making my head spin! First I hated him, then I defended him, then I fought with him, defended him again, and now we were arguing? No wonder my father said all the males my age were terrified to court me. I lashed my tail and looked back to Taipan.
"If that's her way of giving a compliment, I think she needs to work on her socialisation skills," I said to him, feeling just slightly smug that there was a chance Tayra actually respected me.
I frowned to Taipan though, momentarily confused. "Why is she so grouchy all the time if she's actually trying to encourage others?" I wondered aloud. "I mean, something's obviously got under her scales." I shrugged and opened my wings, flapping hard to rise off the ground. I soared over to an overhanging ledge and settled there, higher off the ground. "If she wants to walk away, fine. I'm not gonna go and chase her. I'm going to warn my clan about the possibility of attack and when Miss High and Mighty decides to share her information, she'll know where to find me."
I pulled myself away from the ledge, heart thudding at the sudden realisation that the possibility of attack was very, very real.

(Taipan is getting annoyed at getting yelled at lol.)

I growled and then hissed snapping my teeth together. "Ezzy! stop and freaking think! Okay? First of all I am not a coward but how in the hell is getting Tayra to freeze gonna help with anything? Huh? And second don't zap my nose like some little wothless hatchling! Third she doesn't think your dis loyal she is just touchy about the Queen and everything she has done for her. Tayra has worked very close to the Queen and loves her more then she is loyal to her, Tayra grew up being raised by Queen and thinks of her as a sister just as much as she does very own twin. Fourth she doesn't know any other way you ever heard the Queen give encouragment? She may be good at it to outsiders but you spend time with she is exactly like Tayra and that's where Tayra gets it from. Fifth she is not usually this up tight but I'm sure the attack on the Forest dragons really messed with her today she would have been there helping gaurd them if she hadn't been looking for me so now she blames herself for not being able to find me in time and me for running away." I snapped it all out I was annoyed and sick of being yelled at by cranky females who were using me as their bashing posts. When she started to fly away. "I ain't gonna talk to her! She won't listen to me! She blames me for the death of her closest family the Forest dragons!" I yelled after her. I lashed my tail and shook my head and thought would the Clan even believe her? I mean seriously hadn't she like pranked them all before? Man where was Ever or Craz when you needed them. I wasn't sure what Craz would do if she were here but I bet she could make Ezzy listen to reason. Right when I was thinking of all this I heard wind and looked up to see a dragon slam into Ezzy and then something tackled me and everything went black...

(Hmm... Craz to the rescue??? I just wanted an excuse to bring my lovely darkness into this lol)
