Fledge ran as fast as he could, his hooves pounding the ground endlessly until he arrived at the Wind Plains. He stopped and reared. "I have news from the King!" he called. He dropped back to the ground and trotted around, but he couldn't find anyone. "Hello?!" he whinnied. There was no reply. Fledge sighed and cantered further, looking for someone. He saw no one, but he didn't give up. He'd been trusted to deliver Apollo's message, and he would keep searching until he found Cloud and the Wind Dancers. "Cloud?" he called. "Cloud, I need to speak with you!" Fledge ran and ran, looking everywhere he could, but he still couldn't find the herd of unicorns that lived here. Why can't I find them? he thought to himself. Finally, he decided to find the highest point he could, and scream for the Wind Dancers. He swiftly climbed a hill and stood at the top, looking over the plains. He still couldn't see anyone, but he knew they were there somewhere. "Cloud! I have news from King Apollo, and I need to speak with you urgently!" he cried. He whipped his head side to side, and still Cloud didn't show. Where is she?! he thought desperately. He sent a blast of wind through the plains, hoping that someone would feel it and find him.

I felt a change in the wind around me it was a calling, it was a message of arivle, and then I spotted him a new horse yelling for the herd and me, it wasn't till I herd the strain in his voice to give me the message and then my magic told me that he was telling the truth and then with a rear I yelled "revile!" and all of use walked out into view, my herd had the abitly to blend into our surrounding us, making us invisable, "I am Cloud, now tell me what the message is" I requested in a smooth voice, "and I assume you are here to join this herd or else King Apollo would have sent some one else to bring the message" I said kindly I could smell Apollo on him, and it was a scaent that told me Apollo had accetped him into the tree dome. (this is what she looks like)

Fledge felt a tiny flutter of hope in his chest; he definitely heard a voice. He looked out over the Wind Plains again and all of a sudden there was a herd. He whinnied in triumph and galloped down to meet them, skidding to a stop and almost toppling over. He panted, out of breath for a second, and then looked Cloud in the eyes. "King Apollo says that there is a battle coming!" he snorted. He racked his brains, trying to remember the rest of the message. "He says that Faith has some big plans, and she's coming soon!" He shook his head, desperately trying to remember the rest. It all came back to him in a flood, and he recited what Apollo had told him. "There is a battle coming and coming fast, Faith is building her army and planning something big and bad, King Apollo needs you and your herd to stay alert don't allow anyone near you who has any trace of evil to their scent, and if any one finds something, we need to tell him immediately!" Out of breath, Fledge looked desperately at Cloud. "And he sent me to join your herd," he added weakly. He hoped he'd remembered everything, and he stood in front of the wind dancers, sides heaving as he regained his breath.

(it isn't showing up on my PC either but it was eariler I hate computers! heres the link to the pic image10.webshots.com/11/3/59/32/146935932CfSHYm_ph.jpg ) Cloud snorted and pondered the message, her brain was rattling like crazy, then it hit her just the day before she--the herd-- had felt a call coming from the King to borrow all their magic, and then snapping her head she turned to her herd "yesterday we all felt a call from the King it was a call that asked us to let him borrow all our magic and this is why! it has to be, not only that but we all felt the lose of a great soilder, the Tree Dome was attacked yesterday and the King needed the extra magic to help protect it" she yelled out to them before turning back to lone stallion, he wasn't a bad looking Unicorn he looked strong and well bulit maybe a little unstrudy on his feet, but he wasn't to big to fit into the herd, she nodded "you are welcome in, just stick near me for awhile so I can judge how well you are suited for this job" she said looking him over, "yes being in this herd it is a job you must know how disapeir on the wind, and what do control anyway?" she asked flicking her horn at the others and the rest of the herd went back to almost being invisable amung the long grass even the black horses blended in.

(aww she's pretty! she actually looks like the welsh stallion we have at our stable ) Fledge watched as Cloud thought over the message. His eyes widened as he heard what had happened. "That's awful!" he gasped. "Doesn't the King need more help?!" He nodded at what she said. "Of course, I'll do whatever you ask." He blinked as she flicked her horn and the herd vanished. They couldn't just be gone, could they? He squinted, and found that they hadn't vanished, they'd just blended into their surroundings. "Wow," he breathed. "Oh, um, I control the wind," he said. He stared at the herd again, wondering if he'd be able to do that, to just disappear amongst his surroundings.

(YEAH I Know that horse is an Austrian Stock horse, and that's cool)
Cloud nodded "yes that is very awful, I since that it was one of the Kings second in commands that was killed and that will deeply enragged him, and no if he wanted more help then he would have asked for us to make our selves visable at the Tree Dome" She explained to the Unicorn, "he is proble sending out the storm clouds to be looking around for the Faith and her group they are bigger with way more power then we do" she explained again, "Wind you say, that makes it six wind Unicorns in the herd now, three stallions counting you and three mares counting me, we are a rare power," she said her herd was huge but not many were wind controlers, "don't worry King Apollo wouldn't have scent you here if you coudln't laern how to blend in" she said turning and walking "we are not called the Wind Dancer's cause we control the wind but because with the wisp of the wind we can seem to disapeir makes us better fighters" she said still walking she assumed that the new horse was fallowing her, "OH and I didn't catch your name by the way" she said titlting her head so she could look at him.

Fledge nodded. It made sense, what Cloud was saying. "Who is Faith...?" he asked curiously. He knew he should probably know, she sounded like a pretty infamous unicorn. He bobbed his head. To be one of only six wind unicorns. Maybe he did have a use after all. He raised himself taller with pride, knowing now that he'd been sent here because he had a purpose, and he could do something. He followed her as she walked and talked, absorbed in what she was saying. "I see," he said. "I did think for a minute that all the wind dancers could control the wind, but what you're saying makes a lot of sense." He gazed at the herd. He didn't need to squint so much anymore, now that he knew they were there. But he realised that they would make a formidable foe to someone who didn't expect them to be there. He whipped his head back to Cloud, not believing that he'd forgotten again to introduce himself. "I'm Fledge," he said. Up until today, he'd hated his name. To him, it had made him sound hopeless, like a little baby bird who couldn't yet fly. But now that he'd met Apollo and Cloud, he knew that he was something more than that. A small smile crept onto his face, and he turned his head so Cloud couldn't see it. He was happy with himself for once, and he didn't much feel like explaining that to someone else.

Cloud could feel happiness coming off of him but she didn't ask about it, and then sighing "Faith is an evil Unicorn she gets others to hate the king by telling lies about him and his queen, she convenes them that it is just a myth that if the king dies out magic will die, that is very true and it is not wise for her to mess with such powers" she said in a stern voice, and then picking up to a trot that could not be heard, "yes many think that is what this heard is made for but it was made to train small Unicorns to learn to use their size to their advantage" she said whipping her head and mane, "aww... so you do have a name" she said chuckling, and whipping her head she stopped when she saw a deep sorrel stallion walking up to her "hello Gemini" she said bowing her head to him he was her brother "Fledge this is Gemini my brother, he is not a wind controller he controls earth" she said introducing them. Fledge nodded as he followed Cloud. "I don't understand how someone could be so...mean," he said quietly, more to himself than anything. He dipped his head in embarrassment when she laughed at him, but he quickly slid to a stop when she halted. Fledge dipped his horn to the other unicorn in a greeting. "Hello Gemini, I'm Fledge," he said to the stallion. Finally, he remembered to introduce himself! "It's nice to meet you," he added politely.

Cloud snorted "her heart is frozen" she said harshly, Gemini bowed his head to Fledge "Hello nice to meet you too" he said and then turning back to his sister and Cloud whipped her head knowing he was waiting for orders "Gemini, you, Jackie, and Miles head to the tree dome and find out where the king wants us to set up spies and then send Miles back to give the word you and Jackie take a place the king sends you" she said whipping her head and then turning to Fledge "Jackie is the blue black Arab looking mare over there, and Miles is the brown and white paint over there" she said pointing to the two horses, Fledge nodded and went to get the other two, Cloud could see him yelling at Miles they never got a long very well and then he was giving orders to Jackie and then they disappeared over a hill at a full gallop, "Gemini is a good leader but you never want to be on his bad side like Miles always is" she said shacking her head and continuing along the edge of the herd.

Fledge listened as Cloud gave orders to Gemini, and watched as he went to collect the two horses. He nodded as Cloud pointed out Miles and Jackie to him. He committed their names to memory. If there was one thing Fledge was always good at, it was remembering names. He watched as Gemini and the others disappeared. "I'll make a note not to upset him then," Fledge joked weakly. He trotted after Cloud as she went around the herd. Fledge could clearly see the whole herd now, although he knew they were still blending in away from enemies. He supposed that once you were used to it, you'd be able to see them no matter what.

Cloud whipped her head again trotting around the group and watched the others go "Gemini doesn't usally lose his temper but I guess you could say that Miles is dense in the head he acts like an idoite and pretends not to understand orders when he really does and it makes most of the herd yell at him" she said shacking her head thinking of the young Unicron "but hes young he'll learn soon enough that when your givin' a order you follow it not ignore it" she said flatting her ears slightly "Miles is only two years old and freash away from the herd he was born into" she said whipping her head, and finally coming to a halt and looked over her horses.

Fledge trotted meekly after Cloud, taking in every word she was saying. He snorted, remembering a few yearlings in his family herd that had been like that. He felt kind of sorry for Miles though. When Feldge was a two year old, all the other unicorns treated him like he wasn't good enough for anything. But he supposed Miles' situation was different; after all, Cloud had called on him for a task, hadn't she? He stopped when Cloud did, and he too looked at the herd. He felt himself liking this place immediately. He already felt like he'd fit in, and he'd only met two herd members. This is what Fledge looks like, except one section of his mane is white

Cloud whipped her head and looked over her herd again there was nothing she was more proud of, and then chuckling to herself, she could feel that Fledge felt sort of sorry Miles, pluse every new member did, "were hard on Miles cause he is a wind controler and so is Jackie" she said, Jackie was one of her best horses and Miles had good talent for snicking around, and then she felt something that told her Fledge was gonna fit in just fine here, "I will show where the herd beds down for the night, let you get to know it before we all move in under it" she said turning and walking towards a huge willow tree. this is what Miles looks like and Jackie well she looks like a black a arab

Fledge nodded as Cloud explained why everyone was hard on Miles. "Okay," he said nervously. After all, if they were hard on Miles because he was a wind controller, surely they'd be hard on Fledge himself, because he too controlled the wind. He nodded again and followed Cloud to the tree. It was huge, although not nearly as impressive as the tree dome. "Does the whole herd fit under here?" Fledge wondered aloud.

Cloud snorted lightly looking around the tree "yes there are not to many horses in the herd yet, but you, Miles and three other horses have arrived in the last month so it is growing at steady pace, and when there are two many to fit under here there are a tone of these trees scattered around here and there," she explained to him "none of the other new horses were wind controllers so we take extra care to train them," she said looking back at her herd "one of those new horses have just come into full use of her powers, she controls things like rock and dirt, I have had to bind her powers a few times" she said with a light chuckle young horses had a habit of over using their powers when they came into them for the first time, "the other two were wanders looking for a place to call home, one controls mist but wasn't flexible enough to stay in the Rain Tree Forest" she said lowering her head "and the other one very small mare she is sweet though very good at making lightning and energy, but couldn't handle living in Rocky Mountains" she said and then looking at him "what herd were you born into? and way did you not stay there beside for the fact that you are a wind controller, I like to know where each of my herd came from to make sure they are treated right" I said it depended on the herd of how they should be treated here.

Fledge nodded, scolding himself inwardly for being so dim. "I see," he said. He listened to Cloud explain some of the herd members and their powers. He lowered his gaze when she asked what herd he'd come from. By the sound of it, the other unicorns here had come from the large, well known herds. "Um, I came from a small family herd in the east," he said nervously. The herd had been his mother and father, a couple of wanderers and a handful of yearlings that had been separated from their own herds. "I didn't stay, because I wanted something more. I was an outcast in my own family, I was clumsy and different, so I just left one day. I didn't even knw where I was going until I ended up at the tree dome." Fledge shut his mouth hurriedly. He hadn't meant to say so much, but he couldn't help it. He kept his eyes down, and busied himself by counting the blades of grass under his hooves.

Cloud nodded and then thought to let him know their names and what they looked like "the earth mare is light chestnut almost tan, she looks like a welsh pony, her name is Lilly, the mist stallion is a dark dapple gray, he looks like an Arab, his name is Steal, and the lightning mare is black and white resembles a small gypsy vanner, her name is Gypsy" she said pointing the three out among the herd "just thought I would let you know what their names were and what they looked like so you could at least know some of the herd around here," she said. she listened to him speak and then thought for a moment. "I see, the Tree Dome probably felt good magic calling to it and guided you to it, it has a strange power that calls all good magic to it and will kill any bad magic the gets within hounded feet" I explained and pondered what he had said. "hmm... most Unicorns don't judge each other, all my other new horses are here not cause they didn't fit in but because they wanted to live some where different, Gypsy wanted an easier place to live other then the Rocky Mountains, Steal has tight muscles and is agile enough to get around the forest, and Miles well he is a wind Dancer they are supposed to come here anyway" She said whipping her mane. and then deciding she could trust him "you know how Unicorns all have a different ability like healing, reading minds, reading behaver," she said pausing for a moment to see what he was gonna say.

Fledge paused for a moment, letting the names and descriptions sink into his brain. "Thanks," he said to Cloud gratefully. He listened to her theory, and didn't argue, although he didn't fully agree either. If the tree dome sensed good magic and called it closer, surely it would have chosen someone more...well, more than Fledge. He listened to why all the others were here. "Well, I must be the exception to the judgement rule," Fledge thought aloud. He always thought others were judging him, even if they weren't. He looked at Cloud as she listed a few abilities. When she didn't say anything more, he realised she'd asked him a question. "Oh...yeah," he said, nodding. His ears pricked forward slightly with interest.

Cloud whipped her mane again "no one is judged no matter what" I siad whipping my mane. Then looking to the setting sun, I had a power no other had before and it was burrden to have "well mine is much more then that, it is one I would not call a gift, I can feel every ones emotions, not read their minds feel their emotions, when some one is mad I feel like I am mad, its the same feeling when some one is scard, happy, jealuse, and the strongest of all the emotions I feel is love it is an over whelming feeling that is so intense I can hardly take it," and then grinning and glancingat him "that's how I know Gemini is in love with Jackie he's just to scard to tell her, or to look in her eyes to see if they belong togeteher" and then whipping her mane "that's how I know you always think you gonna be judged, emotions never lie" She said sending out a loud whinny and the rest of the horses slowly made their way under the tree, "Dreamer" she said to a bright red chestnut mare, "close off the edges of the tree" she said with a nod, the small arab looking mare nodded and raised her head to bring all the limps down to make the tree invisable, "Fledge this is Dreamer one of our best herd members" she said nodding towards the mare, "Dreamer this is Fledge the new member of our herd" Cloud said stepping back for her to speak.
Dreamer stepped forward and bowed her head to the new stallion. "Hello Fledge" she said in such a smooth voice that you couldn't help but love the way it sounded. Stallions were always chasing after her. She pretended like it annoyed her but she did love all the attention they gave her.

Fledge listened in awe to Cloud's power. "That must be hard to bear," he said softly. He looked away when he realised he'd been caught out from the start. "I can't help it," he whispered. "I just always feel like I don't belong." He felt ashamed for thinking that way, but he couldn't change it. He realised that it wasn't completely true though. Being here, he felt like he did belong, or at least he was starting to belong. He stared as Cloud whinnied and the whole herd disappeared under the tree. He watched as the mare that Cloud had spoken to closed off the tree. He nodded to her as she came up to them. Her voice sent a shiver down Fledge's spine, and he dipped his head to her again. "Hello, Dreamer," he said. "It's lovely to meet you." (haha i was watching that movie like an hour ago! )

Cloud nodded "yes it can be tuff to have such a power, but once I learned to control I learned how use it to make other powers" she said nodding her head again. "I understand but maybe living here among ones that accept you will make you feel like you belong" she said whipping her head and then turning to the Dreamer "I have to check into a few things with the rest of the herd will you find Fledge a spot for tonight?" she asked whipping her head.
Dreamer nodded "yeah sire I don't mind" she said with a smile and a nod. She watched Cloud nod a thank you and trot off to another herd member. She turned back to Fledge "nice meet you too, follow me there is some extra room by my spot" she said gesturing a derection with her horn and turning to walk off, but waited for Fledge.

Fledge nodded. "I hope so," he said softly. He watched as Cloud spoke to Dreamer and then left, then he turned to Dreamer. "Thank you," he said. "I really appreciate it." He gave her a small smile and then looked in the direction she'd pointed. He shook his head, flipping his forelock out of his eyes, then looked back to Dreamer, waiting to follow her to the place he would rest.

Cloud nodded to Fledge and went off to do the rest she needed to do before everyone fell asleep.
Dreamer smiled and nodded to Fledge "not a problem. Herds stick together and take care of each other" she said smiling. She started slowly trotting "just zig zag around these guys its pretty easy seeing how the herd is soon so small" she said keeping her strid even. Then she came to a stop "this is where you can stay this is the roomyest place in this tree" she said looking around and waiting for him to reply.

Fledge smiled at Dreamer, and trotted after her. He nodded and did as she said, sidestepping the unicorns already starting to go to sleep. He trotted next to Dreamer, quietly taking in the beauty of the place around him. He stopped when Dreamer did, and smiled at her. "Thank you," he said to her. It certainly was a roomy space. There was plenty of room here. Fledge looked around at the rest of the herd, and noticed that it was actually significantly smaller than what he'd first thought. He looked back to Dreamer, and then had to stifle a yawn. He hadn't realised how exhausted he was, but it was to be expected. He'd run all the way from the Tree Dome to the Wind Plains without rest, he'd delivered important news, and he'd been accepted into a new herd. Yes, it had been a very busy day for Fledge. He tossed his head, flipping his forelock out of his eyes yet again. It was always getting in his way, blocking his vision. And he didn't want his view of Dreamer to be blocked at all. Looking at her again, Fledge smiled. "How long have you been part of this herd?"he asked. He was curious, and sometimes his inquisitive nature got the better of him and he asked questions despite the fact he thought others would think he was asking something stupid.

Dreamer nodded and looked around her little space. She snorted and looked to Fledge, he was a nice looking stallion, his build reminded her of the quarter horse, unlike her build witch was petite like an Arab. She smiled when he tried to sniffle a yawn she understood that he would probably be tired after today. She didn't know how far he had come but she knew he had come from the tree dome and that was quite aways away. She smiled, making a small vine come out of the tree to pull my hair out of my eyes and then it disappeared. "umm... Well my family died and I was a wander till Cloud took me into her family at a year old then about five years later Cloud started this herd and I came with her. So since it started I guess" she said. "Clouds like my sister her parents raised me with her and her brother. So Gemini and Cloud are my closest family" she said with a smile. Cloud and her family had always protected her and helped her learn her powers. She had been the first to learn about Clouds powers and she was honored for that, she was the one who had got Cloud to start trusting others with her power to feel others emotions.

Fledge nodded. "Oh, that's nice," he said. He wished, not for the first time, that he had someone to look out for him like that. He smiled at Dreamer. "You must reayy love being in the herd then," he said. Fledge trembled a little, and he realised his legs were too tired to keep holding him up. He sank to his knees, but he wanted to keep talking to Dreamer.
