Lonely Jertinus

[fizzy]

I felt more lonely than ever. There were no dragons but me in the forest. Now Ihad no one to love and no friends.

I slumped down at the edge of our - or should I say my - land and kept a look out. There was not a fly in site.

I would feel better with even a fly next to me. Slowly, but surely, tears started to well up under my sad eyes. There was no one to see me so I let them out, dribbling down the side of my upset face.

Flash
I darted threw the trees my green scals making my impossable to see, I hiss when I hear another dragon I was a forest dragon small, and quick and sneeky, I crawled up into a tree, and watched the poor dragon, I head rooks back and fourth, I crawl down the tree, "why are you crying dragon?" I say popping my head again, I was a spazzy creature all of us were, we thougt to move so much we couldn't hold still, "new here?" I ask bobbing my head from side to side, my green eyes shining.

[fizzy]

I immediately shook my tears at the sound of another dragon. I was too late - the dragon had already seen me - so Ispilled it all to it.
"Iwas mourning my Mother and Father who died in battle against werewolves at my old clan." I said " I'm never going to have anyone to love ever again"

I tried to keep the tears in this time but it was obvious frow.the tears welling up at the bottom of my eyes again.

[Immortal]

I hiss not out of meaness its just something tree dragons do, "Oh that's horrabile" I hiss, "but why are you here? you don't look like any earth dragon I have ever seen" I say leaning a bit closer only dragons that controled earth came here and then they were usally brown, greyish or green, somthing that blend in, in the forest, but he was black and larg and looked like a cave dragon, where would he hide out here? I had clover shaped scals that I could extend and lay on the ground and make myself look like a clover patch.

[fizzy]

"I'm an earth dragon" I said to the skinny green dragon " Queen Ever sent me here"


I decided that I mustn't be like the others for him to ask. Another bad thing in my life. A tear escaped my eye but I immediately shook it away.

[Immortal]

I was taken aback "queen Ever sent you here!" I yelped I had never seen her before, well once but I was to young to remember seeing her, it was when I was born and that was about five hounderd years ago now, "oh well she must know what she doing, Maybe you should meet Vidalia" I say she was the leader of this forest, she was kinda mean but she was barley smaller then him, but she was greenish greyish brown color that made her invisable, she had also been sent here by Queen Ever about three hounderd years about, was the leader ever since.

[fizzy]

"Maybe Ishould," I said to the dragon.

I pondered on the thought. I could hear a river, off in the distance, but still quite near.

"Where would I find Vidalia?" Iasked.

[Immortal]

I jitter back and fouth "she is everywhere" I say hopping up a tree and resting on a branch, "Queen Ever gave her a uniqe power" I say "the abilty to chang color, like those weird lizards the blend in by changing their color" I say bobbing my head again.

I snap threw the trees looking for Flash he was gonna reap the day he ever played that trick on me, he had grown a patch of thorns in my den and it hadn't felt very good in my face, I still had one stuck in my gum, and one in my eye I was furuise enough to kill the little wrech, and then I hear him talking about me to another dragon, and I slip up a tree, and when he climbed up the same tree I opened my eyes they were the only things that gave me away in my hiding places they were cyrstle blue, 'don't say anything' I tell the dragon on the ground, I planed a very good surprise for that little spazz right bellow me.

[fizzy]

Jertinus nodded at the dragon before standing up.
"I'd better get going" he said as he wandered , looking for Vidalia.

He looked for hours before slumping down. Maybe she was just a rumour like that very wise dragon?

[Immortal]

(she was the one in the tree)
I pulled my lips back showing my sparking white teeth, and lunge at Flash the little ruit didn't get away this time, I slamed him into the ground, "you little.." and then I stopped, and decided on a threat instead "if you ever do that again I will kill you! I will rip you apart peace by peace" I growl at him, and then fling his across the area making him hit into a tree, and then I followed the other dragon staying invisable.

I shock my head, after hitting the tree man Vidalia was really mad at me for playing that prank on her, I shook it off and went home only to surpirsed by a nest of stinging nettls, I scream into the forest man she new how to get revenge alright.

I slick in to the shadows he still couldn't see me, and then talking "Hello there, what are you doing here?" I hiss my white blue eyes shining, and my teeth sparkling except for that blood running down out of one of my gums where the thorn was stuck.

I jumped at the voice. It must have been VIDILIA.

"Flash told me to look for you" I said confidently " Queen ever sent me here."

[Immortal]

I blink and shack my head, "oh so the queen sent you" I say sliding out from the tree and turning my scales back emrold green, my scals shaped like normal scals not like all the other forest dragons, "umm... well I will have to find a place for you then where your abiltys will be apreastioned" and then I thought he could work the braoder where there were lots of caves and rocks, "you could work the Rookies its not very far from here, and you should be able to blend in there and be invisable, I of course will teach you how to stay out of site while you are there" I say nodding my head.

[fizzy]

She wasn't too grouchy like Flash had made out.

"Yes, that would be good" I said to her and went over to the rocky caves to take a closer look.

[Immortal]

I followed him to the rocky caves they were a good place to hide and watch the broader of the forest.

As I looked over the rooks and caves he would be invisable here with some training, I felt somthing dripping from my mouth my gum was bleeding again, "that little varment is gonna pay this" I hiss under my breath. my wasn't in the best shap either.

[fizzy]

I looked around.

"So, what do I do, Vidalia" I addressed her

[Immortal]

I turn my headd to the side and pull the three inch thron out of my eye, "this on the very edge of the broader, you will stay invisable, but if you see anyhting that is not a dragon cross the broader kill it" I say in a stern voice, "and if a dragon cross's send a message to me and I will tell you if they are a loud to or not, now no one but me knows you will here so many things will be coming in and sneacking out and it is your job not to let anything know you are here" I say digging the thron out of my gum.

[fizzy]

"Yes" I say, "I will"

I start patrolling immediately, getting used to the feel of it.

[Immortal]

I nod to him, "you seem like a good dragon and loyal to the Queen and I will respect that in you," I say nodding, "now how would you like to laern to know when anything is with in ten yards of you?" I asked it was very importent that he know when anything is with in ten yards of the broader, "and know who it is even when they are invisable?" I asked him again.

[fizzy]

"Thank you" I reply to vadilia's comment, "Yes, I would like to learn that"
I really did want to learn it, I wasn't just being polite.

[Immortal]

I grin "OK well first you can start my detecting me," I say and change my scals to clear and run about twenty five yard away and then sneck up on him, I am about ten feet away sitting on a rock watching him, he doesn't find me in the next minuite I am gonna tackle him and show him what not paying atteneion can do to you.

[fizzy]

"Yes" I said and concentrated hard.

What I hadn't told her, was that I could see like bats and dolphins with clicks. Clicking, twice I found Vadilia on a tall rock, just sitting as I pounced on her, unexpectantly before getting off and saying "Found you!"

I smiled when he looked at me good he had talent in finding hidin' things but there was something he didn't know about me I was as fast as the speeder dragons, and leaped out of the way before he got and I sit behind and revill myself "did you now" I say smirking, "very good Jertinus" I say nodding now he needed to learn to since the slightist sound "now for the sound test" I say smiling and wait to see if he was up to it.

[fizzy]

I was a bit scared at that thought as I had no special abilities hearing wise but I made sure I didn't show it.
"Yes, what do I have to do?" I asked her, thoughtfully.

[Immortal]

I grined he was good at putting up a front, "well you have to make sure you are not thinking, make sure there is nothing in your head that will interfear with your hearing" I say and then turning invisable and moving behind him, "you must always keep your ears open and some times your eyes closed, seeing can some times make you think a sound is coming from somewhere it isn't, like if you hear a bush rustling sound, and you see one blowing in the wind then you will not look anymore and it could be something else in another place waiting to attack you" I explain and wait to find out if he is ready to try.

[fizzy]

I thought that idea was very logical so I tested it out. I closed my eyes and let every thought drain from my dragon brain, just leaving my hearing which seemed very much better than before.
"Yes, I shall have a go" I told her.

[Immortal]

I growel in plasure "good see if you can pinpoint each sound I make" I say daching into a tree to begin, I made a small limb grow and russle the leafs, making the sound a tree dragon would make in a tree.

[fizzy]

With my eyes still closed I heard a small rustle in a nearby tree and immediately turned to face it. I then walked up to it and reached out my hand to feel if I'd got it right. I gave a grunt of happiness as I felt Vidilia's hand.
